Regular car servicing is vital because it protects your safety, prevents expensive breakdowns, and keeps your vehicle running efficiently.

A car service is different from an MOT - while an MOT is an annual legal test of roadworthiness, a service actively replaces fluids, changes filters, and maintains the internal health of the vehicle.

If it's time to book your service give us a call on: 01207 560274.

At this time of year the low autumn and winter sun can be dazzling! Here's some tips for when driving with sun glare. 🌞

• Clean your windscreen, inside and out, removing any hazy film that may build up

• Keep your sunglasses handy and use the sun visors

• If you’re dazzled by the sun reduce your speed

• Get any glass scratches and chips sorted – they can intensify the sun's glare

• Replace your wiper blades if they’re worn, damaged or old

• Use a screen wash additive that’s made for the job – check the handbook if you’re not sure where to top it up

• Use headlights so others can see you

If you need your wiper blades replacing give us a call: 01207 560274.

October is here... which means darker nights.

To help you stay safe when driving in the dark here's some tips on driving once the sun goes down:

• Check your lights - ensure they're all in full working order

• Don't stare at oncoming vehicles - the glare can temporarily impair your vision

• Keep windows clean for good visibility

• Get your eyes tested - if you do need glasses your optician may recommend an anti-reflection coating on your lenses to reduce glare

• Look out for pedestrians, cyclists and animals - reducing your speed a little and being aware of the possibility of unexpected appearances on the road will help you to manoeuvre around them safely

If you need any car advice don't hesitate to give us a call 01207 560274.

Do your wiper blades need replacing?

Now that it's autumn and the likelihood of wetter weather, wiper blades that are damaged or degraded won’t do as good a job of clearing your windscreen, which could obscure your vision.

Or you can call us on 01207 560274 and we can do it for you.
