Some fabulous excuses were given last year for not taxing a vehicle:

“I can’t tax my van because it’s full of chickens…”

"I’m about to start a prison sentence, so is there any way you could hang on to my ice cream van for six months ‘til I get out?"

"I couldn’t tax my car as I’ve had man flu and have been stuck in bed for 4 weeks"

"I know it was untaxed, but I didn’t think you’d clamp cars in a heatwave"

Taxing your car is easy... even if it's full of chickens or you're suffering from man flu! 🤣

Have you seen the new DVLA campaign?

Tax it or lose it is a strong reminder that it is your responsibility to keep your car SORN or Taxed - and to update the DVLA if anything changes.

You can easily check when your tax is due using DVLA’s vehicle enquiry service on GOV.UK: all you need is your vehicle registration. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax

It’s also really important to tell DVLA straightaway if you move house, so you don’t risk missing the reminder letters that DVLA sends to all vehicle keepers.

Did you know that the theory test is changing?

From the 14th April 2020, rather than reading a case study and answering 5 questions, you will be asked to watch a short, silent, video clip and answer 3 multiple choice questions. You will be able to watch the video clip as many times as you like during this part of the theory test.

This has been introduced to make the theory test more accessible.
