It's coming up to that time of year again, when you get your gardening equipment out of storage and it's a bu**er to start. Then why not get your machines booked in for a service and repair, covering all machines from small handhelds up to commercial machines.

I will be offering a spring deal, book in 2 or more machines for a service or repair and get 10% of your total bill. I can collect smaller machines locally for an extra charge depending on distance, I can also service and repair on site if needed.

Another Dennis pro34r with a worn belt and pulley, I stripped the machine down to remove the belt, pulley and replaced the seized up coupler between the gear boxes. Replaced with genuine parts. Built back up and tested all okay.

Last job of the day, servicing this husqvarna strimmer, new fuel filter, air filter and pre filter and sparkplug fit.

Dennis pro34r complaints of rattling when engaging the blades, removed covers to find pulley and keyway to have failed.

Had to cut off the middle shaft cuppler as it was seized solid, removed blade and adjusted deck to get the belt tension off. Removed gear box, cleaned up both drive shafts. fit new keyways, new coupler and a new pulley. Rebuilt and set machine back up to cut. Refit blade to machine and tested.

Inlet Fuel pipe perrished on this 15 year old hedge trimmer, removed the fuel tank and found fuel filter disconnected in the bottom of tank, fit a new new fuel pipe into tank and refit filter. Refit the fuel tank and pushed pipes into the carb and primed. Came to start but machine wouldn't fire. Next step was to check for a spark, spark plugs had a strong spark. What I did next was remove the carb and strip down only to find the internal filter jammed with debris so gave the carburettor a really good clean out. Rebuilt the machine and it started after 3 pulls. Set up throttle and idle jets now running well.

Customers chainsaw rope had seen better days and also reported hard to pull over. Took apart and found rope had tangled in the recoil housing, replaced the rope with new slightly thicker rope cleaned up the spring, spool and flywheel springs, rebuilt and tested. (Recoil spool is slightly worn as well) Cleaned up machine ready to deliver back to the customer.

Top tip, make sure you use clean fresh petrol mixed with the correct 2-stroke oil and to the right mixture for your machines. Running incorrect fuel can cause piston damage like this.

A Discount will be applied for multiple machines being serviced with me. I can collect and drop off smaller machines locally for a small fee. I can also do engine services and repairs onsite as well if requered.

If you would like a machine repairing or investigating issues I will quote you a repair price before any payment is needed. If you decide not to go ahead with a repair a small fee will be charged for time.
