Thinking of fitting a tow bar or towing with your Toyota?

It is important to remember that not every vehicle has the same towing capacity, even if it looks similar to another model.

Before towing, you need to check:
• Your vehicle’s towing limit
• The trailer or caravan weight plate
• Braked and unbraked towing capacity
• Gross train weight
• Axle weights
• Nose weight
• Your driving licence entitlement
• Lights, tyres, mirrors, brakes and load security

For example, some vehicles may be suitable for heavier braked trailers, while others may have lower limits depending on model, year, drivetrain and specification.

With many Toyota models now hybrid, some repairs and recall work involve working on high-voltage systems. These require specialist training, equipment, and strict safety procedures.

In this photo, our technician is carrying out checks on a Toyota RAV4 hybrid system using insulated protective gloves - designed specifically for working safely around high-voltage components.

Before any work begins, the system must be fully isolated and checked to ensure it is safe.
