Every Vintage Metals Original Cool scooter is built to preserve the look, feel and character of the original Innocenti and Piaggio machines - with carefully chosen modern upgrades where they improve reliability and everyday usability. 🥰
Our builds can include 12v electrics, Ducati ignition, Casa Lambretta & FA Italia sealed bearings, Casa wiring looms, OMG fast-flow taps, Scootopia carburettors and ARIETE oil seals. Our Vespas also feature 10-inch wheels and LML 5-port engines.
We’re not in the business of building performance machines or chasing horsepower. That’s simply not what Original Cool is about.
We build scooters the way they were once built - simple, stylish and full of character but with a modern edge. We retain the spirit, appearance and riding experience that made these machines so iconic in the first place, while introducing carefully selected upgrades where they genuinely make the scooter more dependable and enjoyable to own.
For us, Original Cool is about getting the fundamentals right: classic looks, original character, proven engineering and sensible modern upgrades without trying to turn a classic scooter into something it was never intended to be.
