So I've been away πβ±οΈ And I haven't had a lot of finished or interesting cases π€· So here's some examples of stuff that got looked at in the last few weeks.
The 2024 kangoo had a dual fault- adblue injector performance. Not a circuit issue, I got the static resistance up to 30c from the manufacturer and worked an algorithm to check it at higher temperatures, it's high but still in spec. It's actually crusted up with crystalline adblue. Second issue is the charge cooler overheated π₯΅ in testing the +12v feed to the charge cooler electric pump fell over on a load test. And the factory wiring diagram doesn't have a pin location for the wire into the fuse board π but definitely wire break somewhere. gone to the main dealer now for warranty β
The 2 series has a hybrid battery failure, one module is flagging under a volt β‘ I took the battery pack out and that's going away for repair rather than in house because customer decision. And that's fine because they are the people we want to keep happy β
The fiat 500 has intermittent battery drain, could probably benefit from an overnight logger but flat battery in the morning and DTCs matching the bulletins; blue&me module failure. I think the rest of the world has done more of these than I've had hot dinners but it's a first for me π
The Dacia had a dual fault too, coolant temperature issue intermittent - was a terminal tension issue. Shown testing the signal wire in a disconnected state for load checking. Secondly oxygen sensor two heater circuit. The sensor is open circuit, another one done β
Tiguan in for tailgate inoperative today. Used the live data on Bosch kts, such a cracking tool I don't use often enough sometimes. But it's horses for courses π checked the wiring at the motor and yeah, failed latch.
Nothing record breaking here, just little things keeping our customers happy π
