There’s some slight confusion in the location of the new unit it seems.

Unfortunately Google won’t verify the unit as it’s shared with another business so on their maps they place it further down Great Tey Road than it actually is.

For reference we’re located adjoining John Danby Racing (units 18-19) so for anyone travelling to find me if you direct yourself toward JD Racing you’re bound to find it eventually!

Ben’s Mini JCW completed

Quite a story to this one.

Ben used to own this and used it almost exclusively as a track car before selling it on to his friend to continue its track usage. Ben then bought it back after his friend didn’t get much use out of it and subsequently sat untouched outside for an extended period of time.

Extensive prewash, contact wash and a HUGE amount of metal fallout to be removed. 2.5 litre of fallout remover being used (almost exclusively coking from its track use and LOTS of heavy braking) then clayed

Dual machine polishing stages

New wing mirror caps fitted (old ones had lacquer peel)

Titan Coatings PX10, Vulcan and Ultra V4 for paintwork and all exposed plastic trim pieces, wiper arms, interior of petrol cap & number-plates (roof excluded as this is wrapped and had delaminated from sitting outside in the sun)

All glass Titan Hyperglass

Quite a turnaround and back to looking its best

An absolute pleasure to get to spend a day working on this 300 SL Gullwing

A light single stage of machine polishing to give some glossy clarity and remove wash induced swirls picked up during its 70 years of life

My old fav FK1000P being used as LSP

All chrome hand polished

Deep clean of the interior and it’s good to go.
