Our Young driver lessons are aimed for people in Essex including all areas Colchester, Chelmsford, Braintree, Witham, Maldon and surrounding areas throughout Essex. We do have people travel from all over the country as it’s the FIRST Young Driver Scheme to offer the complete package of education and Young Driving Skills for life. All under 17 driving lessons will take place in a controlled area on

private roads on the 1st Sunday of every month at Colchester United Football Ground. You will be taught by professional, DBS checked DVSA approved driving instructors in dual controlled cars. We will teach Young Drivers about road safety and car control; this will include gear changes, parking, smooth driving, all reverse manoeuvres, dealing with junctions roundabouts, crossroads and much more. We will also be able to answer any questions you may have or focus on any areas you struggle with. On top of teaching Young Drivers in the driving skills for life we have Emergency Response Services and local organisations come along to talk and educate you on all the aspects of driving and to learn under 17 drivers extra skills and knowledge you need to make your driving future a fun and safe place to be.

🚗Private practice for England🚗

Government guidance is very clear - people should stay at home to save lives and protect the NHS unless the trip is essential.

❌A journey solely for driver learning purposes is not considered essential.

However, current guidance has been reviewed and updated:

✔️You can only practise driving with members of your household or support bubble when travelling for work, education or other essential journeys.

The same advice applies to Scotland and Wales.

❌Anyone learning to drive in England, please be aware that not only are you unable to have professional lessons, it is also now ❌NOT❌ permitted in your own/family car. Potentially this means if caught, that your insurance will not be valid and that's 6 points on your licence, and you've not even got your full licence yet, information can be found on the .gov website.
😥Being a learner is rather obvious with your 'L' plates on, so don't take the risk and get caught out, even driving on an essential journey isn't allowed anymore.
