Next week the motorsport engineering world heads to Silverstone for MIA CTS, the Motorsport Industry Association Engineering and Technology Show, and we'll be there walking the halls on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October as well as joining everyone at the dinner.

With more than 100 exhibitors under one roof in the Silverstone Wing, and some really interesting speakers presenting at Speakers' Corner, it will be a great chance to see what's new and catch up with the industry.

If you already know us, give us a shout for a catch up, because these shows are always the best chance we get to see familiar faces in one place.

Harry has been working in the loom shop on a complete chassis loom for this Porsche 993 GT2 R. Once the car goes back together, nobody will see any of this work, so we wanted to show it while it's still on the bench.

Every loom that leaves our workshop is designed, built and tested in house. Each run is measured to the car, each connection is made by hand, and everything is checked before it goes anywhere near the chassis.

Harry joined us as a wiring technician almost a year ago and has already worked across a huge range of jobs. He has built engine and chassis looms, done batch wiring work, made steering wheels, spark boxes and switch panels, assembled circuit boards and taken on repair work, so a job like this is in very good hands.

John is back on track this weekend, heading to Castle Combe Circuit for the Autumn Classic on Saturday and Sunday, where he'll be racing the Ferrari 456 GT on the Superformance UK Ltd. Ferrari Club Classic grid organised by the Ferrari Owners' Club GB Ltd .

Last outing saw the addition of a new trophy to the collection at JDR, so expectations are high, however the previous round at Brands Hatch also provided some really exciting racing, so either way we know it will be a great weekend.

Something new is opening just down the road from us. Mill Race Moto lands in Aldham on 16 September, an artisan bakery and coffee bar built around a genuine love of cars, bikes and anything with an engine.

Motor Racing Legends has just released its 2027 calendar, and it's a proper one. Ten events across four countries, taking in everything from pre-war racers to modern GT3 machinery.

Highlights include the Spa Six Hours, the BRDC Classic at Silverstone, the London Historic Trophy at Brands Hatch, and a new Rewind Tour running from Thruxton to the Bowood Estate.

We've spent years running cars in this paddock, and it's one of our favourite corners of the historic calendar. The atmosphere, the variety of machinery, the paddock, it's always a great weekend racing.

We should probably explain what is going on in these photos?!

That's John and Kevin, sat on the front wheels of Kevin's Caterham, clearly planning something. Once you know the story behind this car, you'll understand why there is plenty to talk about.

This is the actual CT05 that Marcus Ericsson raced, and crashed, at the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix. When Caterham F1 folded that same year, it got stripped down and left in a corner of the factory. Kevin picked it up at auction for less than five grand and spent the next ten years chasing parts all over the world, including one steering wheel that took him all the way to a private owner in Australia.

We got the call to help make it run again, and we've loved every minute of it. A year of fabricating, wiring and problem solving later, in late 2024 it fired up under its own power for the first time since that crash in Hungary. Kevin was in the seat, driving his own F1 car.

Driver 61 recently released his video on the build and it's already had 1.8 million views, so we're clearly not the only ones who think it's a great story.
