Been a very long time since we’ve posted so here’s a dump of some recent jobs

M4 Comp, Scheduled service of Oil, oil filter, air filters and rear differential oil

Astra VXR, Major service and Coilpack due to a misfire

Transit Custom, Gearbox rebuild as couldn’t select second gear due to a faulty clutch fork which had worn the gears and synchroniser along with a new clutch and slave cylinder

Transit, Rebuilt complete engine due to a hole in piston number 3 from a faulty injector that was also replaced

DAF, Front spring and major service (yes we do HGV now)

Ranger, Timing chain due to cam and crank correlation codes due to the chain being stretched

RS5, Full service as was the next scheduled service

In this evening we had this transit custom for wet belt, and oil pump belt, very lucky we got to it when we did as it could have been a lot worse if left much longer, thanks to Walkers Autos for the help again this evening.

All genuine parts used, Timing belt and timing belt cover, oil pump belt and sump, oil and filter

Now back up and running how it should be

Perfect example of look after your car and it will look after you, this Kia hadn’t been serviced in god knows how long, came in with the red oil light on the dash, removed the drain plug and nothing came out, removed the sump and rocker cover and could see why all the oil had turned to sludge, replaced the turbo and oil lines due to the turbo failing because of the lack of oil pressure, cleaned the engine, run 3 oil flushes through it and it is back up and running and sounding very healthy, customer advised to come back in 500 miles for another oil flush and to keep on top of their servicing to save issues like this or worse in the future, but for now the engine is happy and running good as new again.

One from last week, recovered into us from Lowestoft with a loss of pedal, cracked clutch fork caused the loss of clutch pedal and where it had been going for a while also ruined the clutch, the flywheel had also seen better days, the uneven pressure from the fork also caused the slave to get jammed and when the customer tried to get the pedal to come back snapped the master cylinder.
New master, slave, clutch, flywheel, release bearing and clutch fork and is as good as new, managed to get the last clutch in the country all genuine parts used as couldn’t get them anywhere else as all out of stock.
3 hour trip for the customer to collect this definitely shows our reputation and that we provide a top class service.

Few jobs over the past few weeks, busy as usual and again not many pics taken

Focus in for oil leak and squealing brakes found the rocker cover gasket that hard and brittle it had actually broken in multiple places and the brake noise due to incorrect fitting of rear shoes previously, fitted correctly and noise free under our brake service

Audi A5 in for a full set of coilovers fitted and adjusted

Mondeo in for steering rack,x2 track rod ends, x2 front lower arms, x2 front wheel bearing, shocks and lowering springs all round

Last pic shows that we go above and beyond for our customers, vehicle failed MOT for prop shaft bearings, the original prop fitted to the vehicle was seized solid and unable to split the prop to replace so we found a good second hand replacement as brand new ones are silly money so we collected it to get him back on the road

Coolant loss diagnosis on a Q5 found to be leaking from water pump, customer has an extended warranty so will be going to to dealer for that repair
