So here we go, reason to why I havent really posted is we’ve been stacked out with some super cool projects for some equally cool customers.

mk2 scirocco is epoxied and well into the shape up stage, panels already into polyester.

FINALLY made a start on the John Danby Racing Lotus Elan racecar, full fibreglass shell, really enjoying this one.

Yes, Daryl Alsop Caddy is still here. However .t.1980 and I have been chipping away at it and it’s very close to the final prime stages.

Repairing old composite splitter for ni-jū-go Nissan Bluebird that I did paintwork on last year.

We have a 53 RHD standard that we’ve recently got our teeth into. One to watch…

And I’ve finally made a start to one of my cars! The Zetec S will be a fun addition to the JAX fiesta fleet 😆 it’s not staying silver 😉

And as well, other awesome projects that are coming through the doors soon

The start to any good paint job is to get rid of all the old paint first, that way we know 100% what is there, what to deal with and able to start from a good foundation to warrant the longevity of be the job.

‘s Mk2 VW Scirocco GTII is a great candidate for this. Luckily this car is a very good, clean and mostly unmolested example.

Should be a cool looking thing once back into its original colour.

Matt came to me with his new Honda Cub c125 with a little luggage rack he needed colour coding.

With Honda putting a modern twist to the Cub’s infamous pastel colours by making them with a pearlescent effect, made it a bit tricky to get a match. But that’s what we do after all…

Definitely not the biggest job that’s gone through the doors but definitely one that I had a little fun with!

So my good friend asked me to paint his Harley frame and tins for exchange of some more tattoos , so of course I accepted.

We have a Buell powered Harley-Davidson tastefully built to a period correct 90’s show bike standard. With Ford Cosworth aubergine and polished hardware, I’d say that looks pukka.

A little corrosion to sort as well as while we were there.

Luckily I had some paint left over from when
worked his magic on a bare metal repaint a few years ago.

Big moment today as the early 1950s Austin-Healey 100 has left Jax HQ. It was an absolute pleasure working on such a pretty car and getting it exactly how I wanted it, all sporting Lotus Cherry Red.

Back to Matthew for final fit up and finish, and of course fitting new wheels previously painted here 🫡, then back to me for final detail, polish and a good coat of wax ready for sunny days ahead.

Of course a huge huge thankyou to .t.1980 for helping me getting this project in the direction I needed it to go.

Eyes peeled for the next one on the chopping block... 👀

Apologies for been quiet for a while, but thats not the case in the workshop. Its manic, as per usual.. some projects cooking up that ive kept under wraps (all to be revealed soon!)

But here's a nice simple job from this week, 1979 Honda CR250 tank and side panels, in base and clear, Tahitian Red.

Stay tuned as next week there will be even more red.... time 👀
