🛡️ LANOGUARD UNDERBODY RUST PROTECTION – NOW AVAILABLE IN COATBRIDGE 🛡️

I’m now offering Lanoguard underbody and chassis protection here at Car Care Coatbridge.

Lanoguard is a lanolin-based protective coating designed to help protect your vehicle’s underbody and chassis from rust, corrosion, salt, moisture and road grime.

The big advantage is that it doesn’t require the underside of the vehicle to be stripped back to bare metal before application.

The preparation is relatively straightforward:

🔧 Remove loose/flaking rust, dirt, paint or old underseal where required

💨 Blow the underside clean and remove loose debris

🧴 Apply Lanoguard Moto Grease to areas requiring a heavier protective coating

💦 Apply Lanoguard Moto Spray across the underbody, chassis and suitable components

🛡️ The product creeps into gaps and around surface rust, helping to form a protective barrier against moisture and oxygen.

Lanoguard is designed to work with existing surface rust, rather than requiring every trace of corrosion to be removed first.

It’s suitable for a wide range of vehicles including:

💧 Hybrid Ceramic Spray doing its job!

This is the roof of a Mercedes that was recently treated with our hybrid ceramic spray coating.

After a full decontamination wash, foam wash and panel preparation, the coating was applied to the paintwork and left to cure overnight.

The following day, the car was put outside and we had some rain. As you can see, the water is forming tight, rounded beads across the roof.

This is the hydrophobic effect of the cured coating doing exactly what it’s designed to do — causing the water to bead up rather than sitting flat across the paintwork.

Always satisfying to see the results once the coating has cured. 💧👌

🚗 LANOGUARD UNDERBODY & RUST PROTECTION 🛡️

Now available at Car Care Coatbridge.

Lanoguard provides long-lasting protection against moisture, road salt and corrosion across the vehicle’s underbody.

It’s not just for the chassis. Treatment can include subframes, suspension arms, springs, brackets, welds, nuts, bolts and other exposed metal components underneath the vehicle.

🔧 How we do it:

The vehicle is raised and the underside is given a good hand preparation, removing as much loose and flaking rust and dirt as possible.

Heavier or more vulnerable rusted areas are treated with Lanoguard Moto Grease for a thicker layer of protection, followed by Moto Spray across the underbody and components.

Lanoguard isn’t a miracle cure for badly corroded metal and it won’t make a heavily rusted component like new. It is designed to displace moisture and oxygen and help prevent existing surface rust from progressing further.

A busy Saturday at Car Care Coatbridge 🔧🚗

A few jobs we’ve helped customers with today.

🔧 Vauxhall Insignia – leaking wheels sealed

A customer originally came in a couple of weeks ago with one wheel losing air badly. We sealed that wheel for her, and after seeing how well it worked, she came back today and had the other three wheels done too.

Four wheels now sealed and hopefully giving her some peace of mind knowing the corrosion around the bead area has been dealt with.

🔧 Mercedes – leaking wheel sealed & locking wheel nut removal

A Mercedes came in with one wheel losing pressure. When removing the wheel, we discovered the locking wheel nut had been seriously over-tightened.

Thankfully, with the specialist equipment, experience and techniques we use for locking wheel nut removal, we managed to remove it without damaging the wheel, and importantly, saved both the locking wheel nut and the customer’s locking wheel nut key.

This allowed us to get the wheel off, remove the corrosion and seal the wheel properly.

🔧 Mercedes – emergency wheel weld

We also had a phone call from a customer who urgently needed a Mercedes alloy wheel welded today.

They brought the wheel in with the tyre still fitted, and we managed to get it welded, refit the tyre and balance the wheel all on the same day.

Three customers helped and three different problems sorted. 👍
