We are appealing following a fatal crash on the A775 Edinburgh Road in Motherwell.
The incident happened around 4.25pm on Monday, 16 September, near the junction for Biggar Road and involved a blue Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle and a red Ford Focus car.
Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 59-year-old man, was not injured.
The road was closed for accident investigation work and reopened around 11.25pm.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
Sergeant Nick Twigg, Road Policing, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist is asked to get in touch.
“If you were driving near the area at the time and have not already spoken to police, or have dash-cam that could assist then please make contact with officers.”
