🚨 important information 🚨

Please read this email from the DVSA, it outlines that the current “cancellation period” of 3 days will now increase to 10 days as of the 8th April 2025.

What does this mean:

If you fail your test after this and rebook for another date, it means you will have to give 10 working days notice to “cancel” or amend your driving test appointment. So please ensure your are absolutely ready to take your test.

If you have any questions about this, please speak to me on your next lesson.

🚨 Unless you haven’t looked out the window yet you’ll know that it’s snowing ☃️❄️
Be aware that snow will blow off the top from a lorry you may be following.

Please remember to clear ALL the snow off your car - not just your windows! Otherwise, as you’re driving along the snow will fly off your car causing a hazard to those behind you😖

Keep your revs low and travel in the highest gear possible - this reduces the chance of wheel spinning.

Leave a 10 second gap between yourself and those travelling in front of you - you don’t have the same braking distance in this weather!

And talking of braking, use your gears to slow down rather than your brakes - once again, you don’t have the same grip on the roads! Slow down sooner rather than later for the corners.

And last but not least, if you find you start skidding on a corner, come off the accelerator and turn your wheel in the direction you want to go - DO NOT HIT THE BRAKES!
