One of the biggest differences when learning in an automatic? There’s simply less to manage. 🚗

No clutch, no finding the biting point and no manual gear changes - which can give you more headspace to focus on what’s happening around you.

You’ll still learn all the important stuff: road awareness, decision-making, control and how to become a safe, confident driver.

Think automatic could suit you?

Automatic lessons are coming this November. DM to register your interest.

Imagine how different life could look this time next year… 🚗

No waiting around for lifts. No planning your day around buses. No relying on someone else to get you where you need to be.

Just grab your keys and go.

Learning to drive is about so much more than passing a test- it’s freedom, independence and having the confidence to get yourself where you want to be.

Manual or automatic - which one should you learn in? 🚗

The biggest difference is simple: in a manual, you control the clutch and gears yourself. In an automatic, the car takes care of the gear changes for you.

There’s also an important difference when it comes to your licence, so it’s worth understanding both options before deciding which route is right for you.

And soon, you’ll have the choice at McLean Driver Training. 🙌

Manual lessons available now.
Automatic lessons coming this November.

“I’ll start driving lessons when I feel more confident…”

But confidence doesn’t have to come first. 🚗

It’s something you build with practice, patience and experience behind the wheel.

So if nerves are the reason you’ve been putting off learning to drive, don’t let them convince you that you’re not ready.

You can start nervous. We’ll work on the confidence together.

A little something different from the usual driving posts today… ⚽️

Very proud dad moment this weekend! My son Kyle scored and was named Player of the Match for Dumbarton United 2014s after a brilliant 10–0 win. 👏

Even nicer to see the McLean Driver Training name there as a proud sponsor of the team.

Well done Kyle and all the boys - what a result! 🖤💛
