Congratulations to Chris Pearson on completing the SSDT in a very credible 41st position!
Chris rode his 25 EM FACTOR-e that’s done the last 2 seasons of national trials including the Scott Trial as a privateer.
Batteries changed at the same fuel stops as the petrol bikes as they refilled, with a comfortable margin still remaining on majority of changes.
The EM ran faultlessly for the full 6 days which is a credit to Chris’s preparation and the quality and reliability of his EM FACTOR-e.
Chris’s words; “I really enjoyed my week, I’ve had some amazing rides and a few shocking ones! The weather was glorious, I’m even slightly sun burnt.
The sections suited the bike very well, and I can honestly say I feel like I had an advantage.
Mechanicals, I had a fork oil seal leak on Wednesday. I turned the rear tyre Tuesday night and fitted a new one Thursday night. I feel the bike grips better so you get less wear from spinning on the rocks.
I pulled the rear tyre off Friday so a huge thanks to Dan, Joe and Harry for helping me get it back on quickly!
A massive thanks to the Army refuelling squad! Inch Perfect for the batteries and all the other support! The club for putting on another excellent event, all the observers, marshals, the Scorpa team, Spivey’s and finally Steph for putting up with me the last two weeks!”
