Hackings Caravan Park Holiday Home Park You will find yourself surrounded by friendly, like-minded people who create a real ‘community’ feel.

For those who seek peace and tranquillity in a delightful country setting this is the ideal location, set in 20 acres of mature parkland in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley. Our park is personally supervised by ourselves, (Wendy, Linden and Wendy) as resident owners and our sole aim is to ensure that your holiday home is enjoyable and carefree.

Meet Sooty, our brand new road sweeper!

He’s not much of a conversationalist, but he’s keen to get stuck in, doesn’t mind a bit of muck and, best of all, he cleans up after himself!

We reckon he’ll fit right in. 😁

So, who's spotted any Shaggy Ink Caps this year? 🍄

They're fascinating things. They start off with tall, shaggy white caps, but as they mature, the edges turn black and gradually dissolve into an inky liquid. Hence the name!

They're are loads of varieties of fungi that thrive in our woodland and grassland, playing an important part in keeping the natural environment healthy.

For those not familiar with day to day life at Hackings , meet Darren – part park maintenance, part shepherd, part sheepdog trainer… and, judging by this photo, occasional traffic controller for sheep.

When he’s not helping keep Hackings looking worthy of its 5-star rating, Darren can usually be found somewhere on the farm with the flock.

This is an older photo, but far too good to leave in the archive. It probably sums Darren up rather well: hands full, sheep everywhere, and somehow still looking completely in control.

A little autumn drama on the green at Hackings! 🍂🐇

Our resident hare was spotted chasing off a couple of rather large crows, determined to get first pick of the windfall apples from one of our trees!

Apparently, even the local wildlife has its disagreements over who gets the best of the autumn harvest! 🍎

Wendy looks after the office here at Hackings and is always on hand to answer any sales enquiries, working closely with the holiday home dealerships and our customers.

Hackings is more than just a business to Wendy – it’s also her family home, and she alongside Linden and their son Darren, take great pride in the park. When she’s not busy in the office, you’ll often spot her out and about with her grandchildren, enjoying everything the park has to offer.

And if she’s nowhere to be seen, try the stables!

Plenty of colour still hanging on around the park. 🌼

The late-flowering Rudbeckia, Verbena and Cyclamen are doing a grand job at the moment, with plenty on show while everything else starts heading towards autumn.

They’ve certainly earned their keep this year.

Just watch our liveries doing the daily rug shuffle!

One day it’s warm enough for no rugs, the next the winter rugs are making an appearance, then there are all those days in between when nobody quite knows what the weather’s doing.

At this time of year, there are never two days the same… and plenty of rug changes to prove it! 😂
