Holiday Home Park You will find yourself surrounded by friendly, like-minded people who create a real ‘community’ feel.

For those who seek peace and tranquillity in a delightful country setting this is the ideal location, set in 20 acres of mature parkland in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley. Our park is personally supervised by ourselves, (Wendy, Linden and Wendy) as resident owners and our sole aim is to ensure that your holiday home is enjoyable and carefree.

A bit of good old-fashioned waste not, want not at Hackings. 🌿

Our composting area gives suitable food and garden waste a second use, turning it into compost for the grounds around the park.

Nothing complicated, just making use of what we’ve got, cutting down on waste and doing our bit to look after this lovely corner of Lancashire.

1st September — so that’s summer done then. Allegedly. 😄

There’s still plenty of green around Hackings, but the mornings are getting a bit cooler, the evenings are drawing in and you can just about tell autumn’s on its way across the Ribble Valley.

Still a lovely time of year to be on the park though — especially when the sun decides to make an appearance.

Looks like Lancashire’s doing what Lancashire does best this weekend — giving everything a good soaking.

So, waterproofs on, brew at the ready bu whatever the weather, we hope you have a cracking Bank Holiday weekend here in the Ribble Valley.

A quick flashback to Party in the Park last August… and proof that it didn’t take much to get the Hackings crowd up on their feet. 🤠😂

A bit of Achy Breaky Heart, an impromptu line dance and suddenly we were somewhere between the Ribble Valley and Nashville.

Some impressive moves on display too… although we’ll let you decide who’d clearly been practising beforehand! 👢🎶

Lancashire had a bit of a special day yesterday as the Tour of Britain Women came through the county for the very first time. 🚴‍♀️

Stage Two started in Clitheroe before heading out across more than 70 miles of Lancashire, taking in Waddington Fell, the Nick o' Pendle and passing through Sabden, Whalley, Hurst Green, Longridge, Broughton, Weeton and Lytham before finishing beside Blackpool's famous Mirror Ball.

It was great to see such a big sporting event passing so close to us here in the Ribble Valley — and plenty of people were out along the route to cheer the riders on.

🚴‍♀️ The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women is coming our way this Thursday!

Stage 2 sets off from Clitheroe on Thursday 20th August, before heading through the Ribble Valley and on towards Blackpool. The route comes through Whalley and passes close to Hackings, so there should be a few good spots nearby to get out and cheer the riders on.

There will be some temporary road closures and disruption while the race passes through, so if you’re heading out it’s worth checking the route and timings beforehand.

🏞️ ❤️ You can see why Pitch 54 didn’t hang around for long!

Right alongside the River Calder, its has this cracking view of the water just a few steps away.

Not a bad spot to spend a bit of time, eh?

Every spring, we welcome a few extra workers to Hackings… and they don’t take much managing. 🐝

The bees are brought to the park to make the most of the blossom, wildflowers and countryside around us, spending the warmer months gathering nectar and getting on with what they do best.

The result is proper local honey, made right here from the flowers and plants around Hackings and the Ribble Valley. 🍯

A lovely little reminder of just how much goes on around the park when nature is left to get on with it.

A new holiday home is making its way onto the park today… and its owners have picked a cracking spot! 👌

They’ve snapped up Pitch 54, right beside the river, with the sound of the water and lovely views just a few steps from the door.
