A quite momentous week here in Clacton. No, not the toff v the bin, we have top coat on the Alfa. This will be blocked back and then the stripes added and then two lots of three coats of clear coat.

A simply stunning MGC in for a new uprated fuel pump, new mesh in the grille and valance and a few other jobs.
A MGC and MGB also in for fuel pumps this week and an auto MGB in for new alloy sump, silicone gasket and stainless exhaust.
An also the Alfa has taken some huge steps forward. Inside of all the panels are in body colour and the body has had its final Novol for Classic Car primer coat applied and baked.

Had a flying visit from Harry Payne, 2024 World Sidecar Champion and his dad Greg this week. He left us a little gift from last weeks double round of World and French Sidecars at Pau of the winners trophy and some lovely French wine from the podium.

We had a MGB in this week. Turns out no. 2 piston decided it didn’t like be connected to the conrod anymore. Engine out and recon Ivor Searle fitted.
Also had a MGC engine and gearbox out and the clutch is shot and the gearbox had gone away for rebuild.
And lastly, MGB GT in for bare metal respray. Done the basic strip and rip off of the old paint and now need to get all the glass out and get the paint off all the fiddly bits.
