FAQs

Q. How much does it cost to hire a boat?
A. Its £30 for half and hour or £50 for an hour.

Q. What are the opening hours?
A. We are open 10am to 5pm 7 days a week weather permitting.

Q. How many people can your boats accommodate?
A. Maximum 6 adults or 8 persons if some passengers are children.

Q. Do I need to book?
A. We don't take bookings. Simply come along to the kiosk on Christchurch Quay.

Q. Do I need ID?
A. Yes, photo ID is required for boat hire.

Q. Are dogs allowed?
A. Yes, well behaved dogs are very welcome on our boats.

Q. Do you provide life jackets?
A. Yes, we have life jackets and buoyancy aids for all ages

Q. Are there any age limits?
A. There is no upper or lower age limit but the person hiring must be 18+

Q. Can I hire a boat for longer than an hour?
A. Unfortunately not.

Q. Can I take the boat into the harbour or out to sea?
A. No, our boats can only be used on the river.

Q. Can we take alcohol on the boat?
A. Unfortunately not, we do not have a licence for alcoholic drinks.
