LDC Driving School - Mike Dore Hello my name is Michael Dore, I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

I provide intensive and semi-intensive driving courses as well as individual driving lessons using the unique LD System of driving tuition. I can normally cover Chorley, Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton and Preston plus the surrounding areas.

Ben M - Extended Test Pass

Mike Dore is an absolutely amazing instructor who was extremely friendly, patient and professional. I contacted Mike after trying a few instructors in the Chorley area as I had to do an extended test and wanted to make sure I got a good instructor, as previous instructors seemed a bit to either bossy or simply not bothered. With Mike he did what needed to be done, he pointed things out straight away which other instructors didn't even pick up on after hours of driving with them. All round I can't fault Mike, it was excellent customer service and very reliable and friendly. Thank you for everything Mike, it was an absolute pleasure to get to know you, all the best Ben.

Mike was a great instructor. He was calm and patient and taught me well. I feel that I am already a confident driver due to all the skills Mike taught me. He put me at ease straight away and so after my first lesson I wasn’t nervous anymore. Thanks Mike, for helping me to pass my test first time.

I approached Mike when I moved to Preston and he got back to me really quickly, which was greatly appreciated! I had started learning to drive beforehand and Mike was great at assessing my strengths and weaknesses, and knowing where to go from there. Thanks to Mike, crucial aspects of driving such as checking the blind spot are drilled into me, as Mike would never let me get away with missing any observations! This prepared me really well for my test. At times when I felt discouraged or nervous, Mike was really approachable and helped me to remain calm (especially right before my test) and he assured me that he believed in my ability, and that I needed to have more belief in myself! Mike encouraged me to be less hesitant in my decision making, such as emerging out of junctions or deciding to go at roundabouts – which was a big issue for me before learning with him. I can’t thank Mike enough for the support that helped me (a previously very nervous driver!) pass first time with 1 minor.

It was a pleasure learning with Mike. He explained everything thoroughly and with detail so that I understood what I was doing and why. He also gives you the freedom that some other instructors won’t give you this allowed me to realise many things while on the road. Can always have a good chat which is something you need and it was never really awkward between the two of us. Anyone thinking about learning with Mike I strongly recommend doing so, I’m glad I did!

Mikes teaching skills are very good as he is calm, patient and explains any errors you make and this helps you improve on your driving skills. Mike as a person is friendly and makes driving a fun experience. Due to this, I was able to pass my driving test first time. Thanks a lot Mike.

Mike is an awesome instructor. He is calm and patient offering encouragement when needed during his teaching. He is very understanding and is easy to talk to. He has a great sense of humour and creates a calm ambience during each lesson. Mike never once gave up on me and greeted me on every lesson with a plethora of enthusiasm and friendliness. He prides himself on providing clear guidance on what to do in any given situation and made me feel relaxed when behind the wheel. After learning with Mike, I am now very confident in my ability as a driver and will never forget his mantra, “He who hesitates is lost”. I would recommend Mike 100% to anyone who is looking to learn to drive.
