Marks Studio 2 update. Car now in the back room on the spit . Door braces removed, all the welds inside the car dressed skimmed and spot primed. Now we'll underway with the bare metal strip down of the underside.

My good friends and regular customers Jonny and Philippa now have the CandyCruiser up and running (you may remember i had the 6 wheeled van in our workshop not that long ago) . Marks Studio 2 update. New heritage front end now fully welded up and spot primed , doors rivnuted for the mirrors , build tag welded back in , doors and bonnet removed and car loaded back onto the spit .

Now here is a extremely rare little car , John has booked it in for a full restoration next year but in the mean time we will being doing the maintenance work on it . Now the story behind this rare car , its a John Cooper S Works built car but.... it was featured on top gear gti when they did a feature with Mike Cooper back in the day .....back then the car was red and was a Cooper sport . It went on to be a courtesy car for John Cooper garages. But when a lady came in wanting to purchase one of the last 50 Cooper cars and they were all sold this car was then built for her with John Cooper S Works conversion and she asked for it to be repainted in Rover Rose pink . The car then vanished for a while (only has 14k on the clock) before John purchased it and wants to return it to its former glory in the pink even down to the red engine bay . As far as we know this is the only one in rose pink built and with its television appearance too it makes it a very special S works . Can't wait to start this one late next year and give it the full CWR treatment.

Nice little Cooper S Works Mpi in today . Dave dropped it off with us for full service, suspension set-up and adjust the brakes and a good check through .

Marks Studio 2 update. All the new heritage front end prepped for welding and after hours of fettling its now 99 percent lined up and clamped in place ready for welding next week after a little more fine tuning.

Marks Studio 2 update. Both rear tubs have had the rotten steel cut out and replaced with new , cars been taken off the spit to do the front end , all the left overs of the front end unstiched . Rotten section on the other strut top mount cut out and replaced . A Subframe bolted in for lining up , drivers door that we repaired fitted and lined up , brand new heritage passenger door fitted and lined up after a awful lot of messing, the bloody thing did not what to fit the car . Ready to start work on the front now .

Marks Studio 2 update. Drivers side floor and inner sill sections that were rotten cut out and new sections welded in . New outer sill fitted . Rotten section of the flitch cut out , new section made up and welded in . Not far off being able to come off the spit to have the new front end done .
