Great news for EV buyers, the BMW iX1 and BMW iX2 are now eligible for the UK's £3,750 Electric Car Grant!

The UK Government has added selected BMW iX1 and BMW iX2 models to its Band 1 Electric Car Grant, meaning eligible vehicles now receive £3,750 off the purchase price automatically at the dealership. Could it soon become cheaper to charge your EV at home? 👀🔌

The Government has announced plans to remove the 5% VAT on household electricity bills from October, which could reduce the cost of charging an electric vehicle at home if the full saving is passed on by energy suppliers.

For EV owners, that means:
🔋 Lower home charging costs
💷 Savings every time you plug in
📈 Lower running costs while the temporary VAT reduction is in place

Based on current electricity prices, a full charge of a 100kWh EV could fall from around £26.11 to £24.87, saving approximately £1.24 per charge.

While the VAT reduction is currently planned to run until 31 March 2027, those savings can still add up over the six-month period, especially for drivers who charge regularly.

• Install and maintain EV charging stations at residential and commercial properties
• Carry out electrical and wiring work to ensure safe and efficient installations
• Conduct site assessments to determine the best charger location and configuration
• Work closely with customers and colleagues to schedule installations and provide technical support
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with EV charging systems
• Stay up to date with the latest EV charging technologies and industry developments

Requirements
✔ NVQ Level 3
✔ Test & Inspection 2391
✔ 18th Edition
✔ Experience within the EV industry
✔ Commercial experience is an advantage
✔ Forward-thinking with excellent problem-solving skills
✔ Great communication skills with customers and colleagues
