Well, in true Chequers fashion, most of the team are off on annual leave enjoying sunshine, cocktails, and peace… while the rest of us are fighting for survival with ringing phones and zero lunch breaks 🤦🏻😂
Honestly, the last couple of days have been absolute carnage.

So, to help us keep delivering the 5-star service we pride ourselves on ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, we’d really encourage customers to book appointments in advance for both Sales and Workshop.

Also, due to the current madness, we’ve had to temporarily remove holding deposits and are now operating on a strict first come, first served basis. We do this to keep things fair — because apparently everyone has decided to buy the same car at the exact same time 😅

Famous last words. 😂

What rolled in as a “quick fix” somehow turned into removing the entire front end of the car… because clearly the thermostat is hidden like it’s some kind of secret boss level.

Half the car later, a few questionable life choices, and plenty of head scratching… we got there in the end.
All back together now, running perfectly, and ready to go—like nothing ever happened 👀

Massive respect to our technicians who deal with this madness daily… modern cars really don’t believe in ‘simple’ anymore 👏

😍 The Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9** is an absolute icon. At just 875 kg with 130 bhp and that razor-sharp chassis, it’s no wonder it became the benchmark for hot hatches. And only £8,445 when it was launched.

Not bad when pristine, low-mileage cars are now nudging £20,000+!

If we’re talking favourite hot hatches, here are a few legends that always spark debate in the workshop:

It’s been another thrilling evening at Chequers.

We’re pushing 8pm and still rescuing locals whose tyres have fallen victim to the UK’s finest road network™️.

Potholes so deep they’re practically heritage sites.
