Hello… it’s been a while!
Thought I’d pop on to let you know about some changes (good ones!) happening at the driving school!
For a number of reasons, I’ve made the decision to scale back the cars to the AUTOMATIC Polo.
So if you’re looking for automatic lessons, give me a call 07966 410790

BUT importantly if you have your own manual car (or access to one) then I’m still offering tuition and happy to chat about how we can make that work.

ALSO do get in touch for manual/automatic intensive courses.

I look forward to hearing from you. 🚙

Great news... after the most recent government announcement I'm delighted that I can return to lessons on Monday next week - 12th April.
I'm busy this week rebooking pupils who were due to have lessons when lockdown last started.
I also have a list of new pupils that I'll work through.
Please be patient! If you think I've missed you, please text or message me and I will get back to you.
As far as I know driving tests restart from 22nd April. I fully expect there to be a backlog... so again please be patient!
I'm looking forward to seeing you back on the road!
Richard

Hi everyone,
Here we go yet again.... following the recent government announcement I’m sorry to say that I’ll have to temporarily pause driving lessons.
If you have lessons booked during this lockdown period, I’ll be in touch in due course, once we have clearer advice about when restrictions might be eased.
It goes without saying your health comes before driving lessons, but I look forward getting back on the road as soon as practical.

Very best wishes,
Richard

Hi everyone,
Here we go again.... following the recent government announcement I’m sorry to say that I’ll have to temporarily pause driving lessons. Current guidance from the DVSA states this will be from November 5th until December 2nd. There may be changes within this time, so I’ll keep you posted on them, as we get them.
Anyone with lessons booked up to and including Wednesday will be fine. If you have lessons booked during this lockdown period, I’ll be in touch shortly to rebook.
It goes without saying your health comes before driving lessons, but I look forward getting back on the road as soon as practical.

Very best wishes,
Richard

Hi. Hope this finds you all well and managing with the changes being thrown at us on what seems like a daily basis!
The good news is that driving lessons continue.
I’m also hearing the number of available tests has increased recently.
If you are interested in booking lessons for you or a family member then please be aware that you may have to wait for lessons to start.
This is mostly because I am restricting the number of pupils who use the car and therefore the number of pupils I come into contact with.

Can I please ask that you give me as much notice as possible? Typically I’m looking to 6-8 weeks ahead at the moment... so please plan for that.

It’s great to see so many of my pre-lockdown pupils back, with some passing tests already.
Please be assured touch-points in the car are sanitised between lessons and I ask all pupils to wear a face covering during lessons, as I do too.
Best wishes, Richard

Hi everyone. Just back from a few days away in the Lake District. Just a reminder that I'm taking a little longer between lessons to ensure the car is kept clean for both the pupils and my safety. It's great to be back behind the wheel though and catching up with pupils.
Now booking lessons for new learners from mid-August onwards. Message me here. Or give me a call/text and I can call you back: 07966 410790.

Great news... finally we have some clarity on when lessons can restart. I'm going to work through my diary and rebook those pupils first who I had to cancel when lockdown started. I'm just waiting for final guidance on the way lessons will operate, this may mean some changes to duration etc... It will also mean additional preparation before lessons. New pupils will go onto a waiting list, until all existing pupils have been offered lesson times.
ALL pupils will be temperature checked before getting in the car. Lessons can't take place if a pupils has Covid 19 symptoms or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
I'm waiting on further guidance regarding face coverings.
I look forward to seeing you after July 4th.

Richard

Instructors will receive guidance on how to restart work safely, Jacob Rees-Mogg tells the Commons.

Hi all,
Hope you and your families are keeping well – what a strange few months it’s been!
Sadly the PM didn’t give any information yesterday on when driving lessons can formally restart, but I’m keeping a close eye on the guidance from the DVSA and the membership groups on when this can happen.
As soon I know, I will let you know.

In the meantime, I am now able to teach key workers – so long as they are not starting lessons from scratch.
There are clear guidelines on how this can happen, but if you think this relates to you, do get in touch.

All being well I will see you very soon.
Rich

Driving tests are currently suspended due to coronavirus - but you can apply for an emergency test if you’re a critical worker.
