We were called out to this Renault Trafic 1.6 diesel that was struggling with a blocked DPF and reduced performance.

After a full diagnostic, we discovered the real culprit — an upstream pressure sensor circuit fault on the exhaust manifold. This fault meant the DPF system wasn’t getting accurate readings, so it couldn’t regenerate properly, leading to a blockage.

Foxes had chewed through the wiring! 🦊⚡

The damage affected the exhaust gas temperature sensor, which is vital for DPF function. We supplied and fitted a brand new sensor, then carried out a full DPF clean to clear the blockage.
