Calling all retro 4x4s and off-roaders...

We're looking to make the off-road area at this year's Retro Rides Gathering bigger than ever.

From Land Cruisers and lifted Suzukis to Pajeros, Hi-Luxes, Jeeps and everything in between, if it's pre-2000 and spends more time off the tarmac than on it, we want to see it.

There's no application needed - just book your ticket, turn up on the day, and our team will park you up in the trees alongside the rest of the off-road area.

If you’ve been coming to our events over the years, chances are you’ve seen Wacky Mick Wilkes giving it absolutely everything.⁠
⁠
His Bedford HA van has become something of a legend. What looks like an innocent little van is actually home to a turbocharged four-cylinder Vauxhall engine, built and developed over years of driving it exactly as intended.⁠
⁠
It’s been everywhere too. From Drag Week in the USA to Goodwood Circuit and drag strips across the UK, all while remaining road legal and driven to events.⁠

It’s exactly the sort of car we love inviting to Prescott. Relentlessly developed and never short of commitment behind the wheel. If you’ve seen Mick tackle a hill before, you’ll know he’s only got one speed.⁠

A little heads up… Gathering is getting close. 👀

Day tickets for Retro Rides Gathering at Prescott Hill Climb (Sunday 16th August) are now over 90% sold out.

Camping is already gone, and once the remaining day tickets have found homes, that’s it. There won’t be any tickets available on the gate.

Gathering has always been about keeping things relaxed, personal and focused on the cars - and with capacity strictly limited, we’re expecting this one to sell out before the day, just like last year.

So if you’ve been meaning to come, or you’ve been waiting to see if you can make it… now’s the time to get booked in.

Bringing a pre-2000 car? You’re already part of the show. No applications. No judging. No wondering if your car is “good enough”. If it’s pre-2000, just book your ticket, turn up, and join the display with hundreds of other owners who share the same passion.

That’s always been the point of Gathering.

The orchard 🌳

One of the things that makes Gathering so special is seeing the Prescott orchard filled with your incredible pre-2000 cars.

Every year, the variety is unreal. From concours-level classics to home-built oddities, forgotten heroes to full-on race cars... because there's no application process, we never quite know what will roll through the gates. That's exactly how we like it.

Last year, the orchard really had a bit of everything. What will 2026 bring?

If you're planning to join us, now's the time to book. Gathering is intentionally a smaller, more relaxed event than Weekender, so numbers are strictly capped and there are no gate tickets.

Stealth comes in many forms. This one happens to be a Mk6 Ford Es**rt van.⁠
⁠
Built and owned by Darren Balster, this Es**rt started life with a humble 1.4 CVH before receiving a 300hp Audi 1.8T 20v transplant that takes stealth tuning to an entirely different level. The sort of build that catches everyone out... right up until it disappears up the road.⁠

It’s exactly the kind of car we love inviting to Prescott. Unexpected, brilliantly executed and built to be driven hard. Darren knows his way up a hill too, so expect to see this Es**rt being properly pedalled all day long.⁠
