Motorseeker UK is a limited company owned by David Merifield and operated by Lee French. Trading as Seeker UK, we offer quality, affordable vehicle styling, specialising in 4x4 off-road vehicles, customised to your specific needs.
Located on the edge of the Peak District National Park; our showroom in Chesterfield, Derbyshire (and nearby workshop in Clay Cross) are just 10 minutes from junction 29 of the M1 motorway.
We maintain stocks of around 80 styled vehicles at any one time and all of our vehicles come with a 3 month warranty as standard, a full MOT test and full safety check, performed by our own in-house technicians.
Every stock vehicle we buy and style must have the right provenance, service history and be in the best possible condition for the year.

DAVID MERIFIELD
David is the founder and proprietor of Motorseeker (UK) Ltd. Based here in Chesterfield, Derbyshire; David previously owned and operated a family business for nearly 20 years, the Blake Group, with Vauxhall, Peugeot and Chevrolet as the core franchises. He has always invested heavily in customer care, this being repaid with customers returning time and time again, resulting in the family business growing from a 2 to 5 site group and attracting numerous industry coveted awards.
In 2007 David sold the Blake Group to set up Motorseeker UK within the growing specialist arena of 4x4, sports and prestige used cars. And in line with market demand, this business has now developed to specialise in the styling of 4x4 and off-road vehicles 'Seeker UK'. In April of 2019, David took on a SsangYong franchise 'Seeker SsangYong' and greatly looks forward to growing the business even further as a result.
Professionally qualified as a Chartered Secretary, David was until recently a Director of East Midlands Chamber of Commerce for 20 years also serving as its President for two years. He is also a School Governor.
LEE FRENCH
Lee has worked with David since 2000, previously within the Blake Group and then latterly, as General Manager for Motorseeker UK. Being a like-minded individual, Lee shares David’s commitment to customer care and operates with a professional and open approach.
With over 30 years of automotive knowledge, he is an experienced buyer of vehicles and will hand-pick stock in order to maintain the highest standards in value and quality. Well respected and connected within the automotive industry, Lee is fully committed to finding the best deal for you, whether buying or selling on a vehicle.
As well as being an expert in vehicle styling, Lee is a keen equestrian and has a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of horse trailers and towing vehicles in general. He would be very happy to help you with any questions you have about the suitability of a vehicle for towing.
