A wrecked SUV usually tells a tragic story.

This Mazda CX-5 tells a different one.

During a 40 mph IIHS overlap crash test, the front end was completely destroyed, the concrete barrier took a beating, and the impact looked brutal. Yet the passenger compartment remained intact — exactly as engineers intended.

Modern vehicles aren't designed to survive crashes without damage. They're designed to sacrifice themselves to protect the people inside.

It's a reminder that the crumple zones, airbags, seatbelts, and structural engineering we rarely think about are doing far more work than most drivers realize.

They call us the “A-Team,” but judging by our training videos, the ‘A’ stands for “Are we nearly there yet?” 🚴‍♂️💨

We are taking on the Tour De Mon on June 27th. We have spent the last few months training, which mostly involved trading our dignity for padded shorts. It’s all to raise money for The Joshua Tree, an incredible local charity supporting families affected by childhood cancers.

130+ people. Countless MX-5s. One very long convoy through North Wales.

Last Friday was our 18th annual Mitchell Mazda MX-5 Ride Out Day — proudly the largest MX-5 ride out in Europe — bringing together customers, colleagues and friends for another unforgettable day of roof-down motoring, scenic roads and plenty of laughs along the way.

From Palé Hall Hotel to The Quay Hotel & Spa, the convoy stretched for miles and the weather just about did us a favour.

18 years in… and it’s still one of the highlights of our calendar.

Our previously loved MX-5 on display at Oulton Park for Mazda Mania Day last week — a great day out in proper circuit surroundings.

Brilliant to see so many customers there enjoying the event, from new MX-5s and 30th Anniversary editions through to classic models, all celebrating the Mazda community together.
