π§ Another Busy Week at JCS Motors NE Ltd
A good variety of work through the workshop recently, from keeping a local parts van on the road to drivetrain and preventative engine repairs.
π Motor Parts Direct β Clutch Master Cylinder Repair
We recently had one of the Motor Parts Direct Ltd vans in with a clutch fault.
After diagnosing the issue, the clutch master cylinder was replaced and the van was back on the road and ready for work again.
Always good to help keep our great parts supplier and another local automotive business moving π
π§ Mercedes ML β Transfer Box Rebuild
The transfer box was removed from the vehicle, stripped down and inspected before fitting a new transfer chain.
The unit was then rebuilt, resealed, filled with fresh fluid and refitted before a final road test.
A much more cost-effective repair than replacing the complete transfer box when the rest of the unit is still in good condition.
π οΈ Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 CDTi β Oil Pickup Seal Replacement
Another important preventative repair completed on this Zafira.
The sump was removed, the oil pickup seal replaced and the pickup system cleaned before the sump was resealed and fresh engine oil and filter fitted.
These seals can deteriorate with age and allow the oil pump to draw air, potentially causing low oil pressure and expensive engine or turbo damage if left unresolved.
