Peugeot 3008 BlueHDi diesel provides an excellent dual-benefit. It turns a heavy, slightly sluggish family crossover into a much more responsive vehicle, while simultaneously optimizing fuel efficiency with our Stage 1 calibrations. Unfortunately AdBlue issues are incredibly common, typically triggering a bright RED dashboard warning reading "Emissions fault: Starting prevented in ### miles" along with the engine management light.

Because it is highly detuned from the factory to leave room for the CLA 300d or to satisfy strict fleet emission targets, a Stage 1 software optimization safely unlocks massive levels of torque. Because the engine produces its peak torque lower down in the RPM range, the car can comfortably maintain highway speeds with less throttle input. Under steady long-distance cruising, you will typically see a 5% to 15% increase in fuel efficiency.

Because Mercedes uses an electronically detuned version of this 2.0L engine for the 150bhp A200d model, a basic Stage 1 software modification can comfortably push the hatchback into the performance bracket of its more expensive sibling, the 190bhp A220d. The OM654 engine is known for its factory refinement, but it can feel restrained near the top of the rev range. Stage 1 software broadens the torque curve, meaning the car pulls relentlessly from 1,400 RPM straight up to 3,800 RPM without choking.
