Inspired by the classic American V-twin cruisers, the Drag Star offers timeless styling, relaxed riding characteristics and Yamaha’s renowned engineering.

This particular example is especially attractive, having spent much of its life and more so the last eight years primarily as a display piece rather than in regular road use. As such, it presents extremely well and is a wonderful example of this increasingly well regarded Japanese cruiser.

The beautiful two tone paintwork is complemented by chrome wire spoke wheels, traditional whitewall tyres, sweeping twin chrome exhaust pipes and an impressive selection of period style accessories.

Mechanical Condition

Having spent much of the last eight years as a display piece, the motorcycle has seen relatively little regular use during this period.

It starts, runs and rides very well, with the characteristic sound and smooth delivery of Yamaha’s V-twin engine there’s no reason why it shouldn’t pass an MOT with ease.

However, given its limited recent use, we would recommend a full service, general mechanical inspection and a fresh MOT before returning the motorcycle to regular road use.

It is being offered in its present condition, with this recommendation clearly reflected in the description.

1951 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside 5-Window Custom Resto-Mod – 5. 7 V8 – Air Ride

We are delighted to offer this superb 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside 5-Window, beautifully restored and tastefully upgraded into an extremely usable V8 resto mod.

Finished in a striking period style metallic blue with superb chrome detailing, this is a wonderfully imposing American pickup that retains the unmistakable character of Chevrolet’s iconic Advance Design trucks while benefiting from extensive mechanical upgrades.

Under the bonnet sits the legendary 5. 7-litre Chevrolet 350 small block V8, paired with a TH350 column shift automatic transmission and MSD ignition. The engine runs exceptionally smoothly and provides exactly the soundtrack and effortless performance you would hope for from a classic American V8.

Importantly, the upgrades extend considerably further than the drivetrain. The truck features power steering, a Chevrolet front clip with tubular wishbone suspension, front disc brakes, GM 8. 5-inch rear axle and a professionally installed air-ride suspension system.

The air-ride installation has recently been inspected and found to be exceptionally well executed and in excellent condition. The chassis itself is also in very good condition, making this much more than a cosmetically attractive modified pickup.

The bodywork presents beautifully, with very good paintwork complemented by excellent brightwork and a particularly attractive set of period style wheels. The stance is superb and can of course be altered via the air suspension.

Particular attention has been paid to the rear load bed, which is finished to a very high standard and is one of the highlights of the truck.

Inside, the cab has been fully retrimmed to an excellent standard, creating a smart and comfortable environment while remaining sympathetic to the character of the Chevrolet.
