Staycations are expected to boom in 2021 after lockdown ends, UK holiday firms have said.

Bosses at the Caravan and Motorhome Club said the lifting of restrictions would be like "a cork popping from a bottle".

Director general Nick Lomas said although coronavirus had hit the industry hard, they were optimistic about the coming season.

MCEA CARAVAN ENGINEER GETS VITAL PPE 335 MILES FROM THE SOUTH WEST TO THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND.

Craig Thompson, MCEA Member & the proprietor of C T Caravans & Towbars, donates 5 litres of vital hand sanitiser to Lynemouth Day Care Centre. The hand sanitiser was produced by Wiltshire Gin distillery Scout and Sage, procured by MCEA HQ who arranged to get it to Northumberland where Craig was able to organise delivery to the local centre. Lynemouth Day Centre is a charitable, not for profit, day centre that provides stimulating activities for elderly folk in the Lynemouth area of S E Northumberland. Being a day centre where the users come and go daily then the lack of hand sanitising would most likely bring a halt to the brilliant work they do to help keep active elderly folk in the community.
