Congratulations Connie! On passing your driving test yesterday at Peterborough test centre. You have always been a natural driver and the examiner almost seemed sad that he had to give you one tiny driving fault, but I suppose you had to give him something to do! Congratulations! Harry on passing your driving test this morning at Peterborough test centre. You have done so amazingly to deal with the extra delays around test booking and university. Your patience paid off and you had a nice drive today with only 4 driving faults. Now you have a car and a licence just in time to finish uni and go off in to the world. FIRST TIME PASS ALERT!! Congratulations Ollie, on passing your driving test yesterday at Peterborough test centre. As an experienced motorbike rider, it was no surprise that you took to driving so easily. You were very laid back before during and after your test and to achieve only 1 driving fault was very impressive! Well done, stay safe and happy driving!

Driving test bookings-The future!! OK, now I've shared the official stuff. This is my take on the upcoming changes to the driving test booking system. The changes have been put in place to give control back to the dvsa and customers. Under the new regulations, in theory, block booking of tests by third party apps and some driving instructors should be impossible. This should make access to the booking system easier and eventually reduce the waiting time for driving tests overall. For those of you with a date further away than you need, you will be able to swap your test on the booking system if a date becomes available or swap direct with another student. I will be on hand to assist with both of these if necessary. In short, we may have a few challenges to figure out in the short term, but I believe this will be a positive move for the future. www.jamiesdrivingschool.co.uk

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! You may have already heard in the news that there will be changes to the test booking system. As of Monday the 12th of May, I will no longer be able to book or manage any driving tests for my students. I am not very pleased with such a blanket decision by the DVSA, however all of the main changes can be found on the link below. If you have a test booked with me already, we can chat more on your next lesson. If not I will put a couple of extra links shortly to help you understand the other changes.

FIRST TIME PASS ALERT!! Congratulations Tyler on passing your driving test first time this afternoon at Peterborough test centre. You were a cool cucumber and stayed very calm the whole day. You had a near perfect drive, as you were one blind spot check away from getting zero faults, however only 1 fault is still worth shouting about! As always, a big shout out to your mum and dad for taking you out in your car, I am sure it played a big part in keeping you calm today. Well done, stay safe and happy driving!
