Pete's Audi S2,

Proper build, G30-770 Garrett lots of engine goodies.

Glorious noises as you can imagine!

Naturally Maxxecu, lots of really Naughty Launch control noises, and a whole lot of 5 cylinder big turbo noise making my day!

We ran out of fuel pressure sadly! Pete will be back with more upgraded parts, so we can let her have the full extra two and a half atmospheres.

Good to see you mate!

Many moons ago, and I mean MANY! It was the early 90's. Lots of interesting stuff going on the general Automotive world still. Most of all, (for me anyway) the Jaguar XJ220. A car that still looks absolutely f****g amazing now, was built and sold. There were posters on my wall of this thing, and we used to play 'Jaguar XJ220' on the Commodore Amiga. Life was epic.

Fast forward a day or two, and I started racing a Jaguar. Before she got banned, we raced on a grid of classic Jaguars. Many of these had classic liveries. 'Castrol', 'Becks' and the likes! I have as you may know if you follow the page, an X100. So, for me, there was only one option. My favourite car of all time once raced in a Martini Livery.

Hold my Beer!

And so Senderella ended up with very rarely known XJ220 Martini Livery, as a Homage. (I can't stand the drink!) 🤣

Fast forward a few more evenings... Swallows Jaguar - Swallows Racing and put on a coffee morning, in which the absolute legends at .trust drove an XJ220 to take part. Yes, they drove it from Gaydon to Somerset. It's a testament really to the things! Id have loved that job!

Regardless, I didn't move very far from this car (and the coffee machine, naturally) all morning. I was lucky enough to move my car next to this legend and get a photo or two.

Made my absolute year to be fair! I'm a happy boy!

Thanks to all the guys that made this happen, the coffee and cars meets they've started doing are absolutely great, and I'm not a car show guy, like, at all! 🤣☕☕☕

Cosworth YB Harness for Mk2 Es**rt, with MaxxECU Race

I seem to be getting more and more orders for these packages. I try to allow them to be as customised as is possible.

Stevie, sent me down a 'pattern' of where he'd like his ECU located on his Mk2 es**rt, along with various other sensors and the like for his YB Converted Mk2.

He's opted for fly by wire, modern injectors, K20 Coil on plug conversion along with various sensors for protection. Knock control / Oil temp / pressure and so on.

I've left an Aux plug in the engine bay for future upgrades, along with plenty of I/O inside the car too!

Stevie asked if I could sort a fuse box for him too, in order to make the installation as easy as it can be. I've modified the MaxxECU off the shelf fuse / relay box, so that all the new systems are powered by new fresh harnessing. Fuel pump & fans are powered by this fuse box. Plenty of labelled cable to get around the vehicle!

I've also added in a few extra wired for his guages & cluster. Hopefully it'll make his life installing the system nice and easy!

Another YB Mk2 safely under the instruction of a MaxxECU!

Thanks for the custom Stevie, I look forward to getting logged onto this and getting you up and running. :-)

Dave's 1.8T MR2, no beetle, no MR2, no beetle!

What a concoction. This is a MK3 MR2, with a 1960's beetle popped on the top, with a 1.8T BAM conversion. Phew. Oh, Maxxecu Powered obviously.

I love it when people build something, that they want. Exactly what they want. Not because the internet says they should, not because they want to gain subs on YouTube. Purely, because that's what they want.

Enter stage left, Dave Mahoney. Dave wanted to build a Beetle he could 'Daily', so reliability, a modern engine, power steering, brakes etc. Dave says, he was 'In the bath' when he discovered the wheelbase for an MR2 was nearly the same as a beetle!

And so it began,

He bought an MR2, bought a beetle, and amalgamated the two! Its a pretty convincing beetle too honestly! It's even got two fake 1" exhausts hanging out the back!

The perfect crime?

Nope,

The 1.8T conversion is becoming commonplace in the MK3 MR2, driven by Stav's channel. He's made a bolt in conversion mount kit for the 1.8T. Dave pops off and buys an Audi TT, pulls the engine and box, sells the remainder. Whipped the motor into the Beetle., and here we have it.

He's recently installed a Maxxecu. The Maxxecu Race runs the 1.8T beautifully, and allows being able to run the OEM beetle guages straight from the ECU.

It's very important how it looks to Dave., so there are lots of little bits and pieces to try and hide the fact it's actually an MR2.

I absolutely love it. It sounds utterly ridiculous flying up the road too! 🤣🤣

MK4 Supra Maxxecu Plugin with 8HP support.

This plugin Maxxecu adaptor off out the door this morning, has been modified to include wiring for an 8HP70 gearbox, and the BMW shifter.

Some minor additions to be added in, a wideband lambda sensor, and an IAT sensor, and we're away!

Again, a nice coat effective way of upgrading the old ECU, and running a modern transmission relatively easily.

Take one Ariel 'Hartley' V8 Engine, and just pop it into something that weights even less....

Russ from Xtreme Race Cars - naturally did just that.

The unmistakable sound of a flat plane V8, revving to 10,500rpm. These engines were built by Hartley in the USA for Ariel.

This Class 7 Autograss car should be pretty epic. The Class 7 will look like a Mini Pickup for all that are unfamiliar!

Calibrated on the unbeatable MaxxECU Race ECU. Motec C127 Instrument cluster and a host of other goodies.

Good luck to Russ for the Season.

Jacks AJV8 XK8.

Jack Robinsons AJV8 powered XK has been under development for a few years now. Ultimately running a stock 4.2 Bottom end, with cams and headwork. We've wanted to get a 'proper' engine in this car for a good while. I mean, in reality he's currently running the 'Number 1' on his car, since winning his championship last year, but still, the plan was always to develop this NA engine into something worthwhile.

I love these sorts of projects. Ultimately, very few people, if any who have done such a thing. Certainly few with cast iron information, or indeed results. Jack was successful enough in his XK to have been moved up a class, so this opened up being able to actually modify the engine to a similar fashion to others in his class (Albeit different engines). So here we have it, a 'revvy' AJV8.

Lightened, balanced, fully customised engine. Built and developed between Swallows - PVE - Mark (Auto Engineering).

We've spent an awful lot of time mechanically moving cam angles after running in this engine today. As you can imagine, modifying 4 x cam positions is a bit of a pain on a hot engine. (Luckily I had Tom Robinson for that)! Some very interesting results on moving the camshafts about were had on the custom camshafts. Ultimately being able to make some fairly significant gains in areas he thought the car was lacking in.

As with all development, I'm keen to see how it progresses, we're revving this far more than it should be. Piston speed is a massive concern honestly, Mark has been very keen to keep mentioning! These mechanical limits are there to be pushed though, until somebody finds out right?!

I wish Tom and Jack good luck racing in the Modern Classics with the Classic Sports Car Club at Spa next weekend. They will be facing serious cars there, plenty of BMW's and M3's. I'm very Jealous! Maybe next year.

Good luck to Jack Robinson Tom Robinson and the whole Swallows Jaguar - Swallows Racing crew with this old girl!

May your pistons stay in your liners!

Another K20 swap wiring harness nearing completion.

A classic hot hatch. Wonder if you can guess what?

I've got an a**l level of integration going on with this one. Anyone can get a K20 to run in anything. Nothing to it. Getting everything working as it should like factory takes some thinking about. Mechanical speedo, rev counter without enough revs!

Going the extra mile.

Darren Mullens GSXR powered Class 8

It's been a pleasure to deal with Darren and his epic Class 8 Autograss car. It's running a race prepared GSXR1000 engine, naturally running on MaxxECU.

We've rebuilt his entire wiring harness, and added a few bits and pieces here and there for him. We've also supplied, fitted and setup an AIM instrument cluster so he can keep his eye on the prize!

This thing absolutely rips, a video from Scunthorpe at the weekend here:

Maxxecu Race LS harness, one of two harnesses leaving today.

We've supplied and modified this Maxxecu LS harness to incorporate the 8HP gearbox connector, and BMW shifter, along with adding in a connector for the clients pieburg CWA200 water pump.

The client has opted for the Maxxecu Fuse Box also, so we've modified the fuse box and connector to incorporate the water pump & gearbox.

This really should be a dead easy way of getting an LS with an 8HP up and running with very little hassle.

This harness and ECU left today, ready to be slotted into, I believe a DAX kit car!
