🌿 Before you visit West Wales this summer… here are 5 things many first-time visitors don’t realise.

West Wales has a way of slowing people down but knowing a few local tips before you arrive can help you make the most of every day.

Here are five things we always recommend to our guests:

🌅 1. The best days don’t always start with a big plan
Some of the most memorable moments happen when you slow down. A morning walk beside the River Teifi, a coffee in a local café, or simply sitting and watching the world go by can become the highlight of your trip.

🥾 2. Bring walking shoes even if you’re not a “walker”
The area around Cenarth is full of beautiful little paths, woodland routes and riverside spots that are worth exploring. You don’t need to be an experienced hiker to enjoy the scenery.

📍 3. Plan your “must-see” places but leave room for discoveries
Cenarth Falls is a favourite for visitors, but some of the best experiences come from taking the scenic route, stopping at a viewpoint, discovering a local shop, or finding a quiet picnic spot.

☔ 4. Don’t let a rainy day stop you exploring
West Wales is beautiful in every weather. A cloudy day can make waterfalls more dramatic, walks feel more atmospheric, and cosy café stops even better.

🍦 5. Ask the locals
The best recommendations often don’t appear in guidebooks. Our guests love discovering the independent cafés, pubs, beaches and hidden gems suggested by people who know the area.

That’s the beauty of staying at Argoed Meadow you’re not just visiting a campsite, you’re discovering a whole corner of West Wales.
