Meet The Coaches - Alfie Charlotte

Last but not least is Alfie.
Just like his brother, Alfie is hard working, passionate and driven about the beautiful game making him a great asset when it comes to helping players progress.

Here’s a little bit about Alfie:

Plays For - Armthorpe Welfare FC
Position - Attacking Midfield/Striker
Favourite Team - Everton FC
Favourite Player - Sergio Agüero or Jude Bellingham
Qualifications - FA Level 1, Safeguarding, First Aid
Enhanced DBS Checked.

Alfie plays alongside Harry at Armthorpe Welfare FC who play at step 6 in the English Footballing Pyramid. He’s racked up over 100 appearances in semi professional football, scoring 30+ goals at the age of 20.

Alfie is currently studying online at University of Northampton where he is moving into his final year of completing a coaching degree.

A new customer broke down in Belgium after having the timing belt replaced on their 2.5tdi t4 just before they set off. It’s taken a month for the RAC to get it to us.

Stripped, cause of the fault found and rebuilt in the afternoon.

Failed timing belt tensioner
Bolts in wrong places
Bolts missing
Timing covers broken
Crank shaft oil seal leaking badly

Now runs sweet and the customer is happy.

Still haven’t got round to replying to everyone 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ll sort it.

This T4 today has eventually arrived after breaking down in Belgium last month. On the ramp this afternoon to have a look what’s gone wrong.

Timing belt tensioner has collapsed 😳
Timing pin on the inner cover had snapped off
Crank seal leaking
Crank gear worn
Auxiliary belt idler pulley loose due to the wrong bolt being used
Crank damper pulley worn

Rebuilt with ✅
Genuine timing cover
Ina timing belt kit and WP
New crank gear
New crank damper pulley
Correct bolt used in the idler pulley
Coolant temp sensor
Second hand inner timing cover as it had been cut in half
Timing set correctly and now runs lovely
