Great onboard from last weekend’s Donegal International Rally with Hayden Paddon and Dave Moynihan in there Hyundai I20 Rally2, recorded using the Aim Smarty Cam3 GP, setup and programmed by ourselves. Camera is integrated with the cars CAN data network to record vital driver data that can be analysed later and is proven to be an essential tool to improve stage times.

Congratulations to all customers who took part in Donegal International Rally at the weekend. Successful weekend with four customer cars finishing in the top 8, 2 of which making the podium, in 1st O/A Callum Devine in his newly acquired Skoda Rally2 and 3rd O/A David Kelly in his VW Polo Rally2, closely followed by Michael Boyle Boyle Motorsport in his VW Polo Rally2 taking 6th O/A and Stuart Darcy in 8th O/A also in a VW Polo. Back then to Ryan MacHugh Rallying taking the Rally4 class win in his Fiesta.
All where using the Aim Technologies Smarty Cam 3, supplied, fitted and programmed by ourselves, The Smarty Cam allows for automatic start stop recording when the car enters stage mode, with the ability to overlay critical driver training information such as brake pressure, gear selected, engine rpm, throttle position etc. This information is also stored in the background and can be analysed quickly during service or at a latter date.

Another SmartyCam 3 installed and ready to go for the weekend.

AIM SmartyCam 3 supplied and fitted to an M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally 4. Integrated into cars engine management and chassis electrical system, which enables self charging and the ability to overlay vital information such as rpm, gear, vehicle speed, throttle position, etc. The added bonus with this system is the ability to start/stop recording when the car is placed into and out of stage mode.
This can be supplied as a plug and play kit, pre programmed, with no modifications required to the original loom.

Great job by BDM Motorsport on this conversion on which we supplied the necessary wiring loom extensions, enabling the car to be easily converted back and the original loom untouched.
