Barra's Classic Campervan Escape city life with ‘Olive’ and replace it with Barra’s white sandy beaches and lovely sea-views, all at your own pace.

Barra's Classic Campervan is called "Olive." She is a beautiful Volkswagen T2 camper van from 1979, and comfortably sleeps 2 adults. Hiring Olive for your holiday doesn't just give you somewhere to stay, she gives you a choice of places to stay, selecting from all the campsites all across our beautiful island allows you to plan your trip or to follow your desires and decide day by day where you want to be. There is nothing quite like the experience of driving a classic VW camper. With all round glass and visibility you feel like you are surrounded by the scenery; living the countryside, not just observing it from the cocoon of our technology filled modern cars. Being a classic, you go at a pace that allows you to take your time, see what is happening all around and enjoy the majestic scenery, wildlife and activities we have to offer. If you see something you want to look at, you can pull over, open up the side door, make a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy an idyllic moment in comfort, with the world right in front of you. Olive isn't just a place to sleep and a means of getting around, she has food storage and cooking equipment, giving you a place to prepare meals and eat them, al fresco or inside, it is your choice. When you arrive, at the ferry or at the airport, we will bring Olive to you, show you around, and if you want, we can get your choice of provisions in so you can spend every minute of your holiday enjoying yourself. Please note I have one condition, the campervan must stay within one of the local campsites on the island.

Just wanted to do a big shoutout to Mr Magic from ‘Voltsmagic.com’ for going out of his way to source and deliver a part for Olive with next day delivery, even all the way up to the Hebrides. They’re an established VW based workshop and dismantlers, providing a range of services and parts. We couldn’t be more grateful!

In his spare time, he, along with others, helps to fundraise for less fortunate kids and is looking for donations of toys or funds this Christmas. As a thank you, he asked if I could give them a shoutout, so if you would like to donate or check them out, search ‘Santa's a gangster’ on Facebook.
