Thought I’d share a picture of our workshop. Lots of you have been in our workshop since we moved earlier in the year from Castle Douglas and seen the progress. We now have a fantastic facility with the capability to service, MOT and maintain most vehicles from small cars to extra long wheel base vans and light commercial vehicles, most of which we couldn’t deal with in Crown Garage. We will be making a start on the workshop extension soon which will transform the workshop to a different level.
We’d just like to thank you all for your continued support and reiterate how much we’re overwhelmed by how many of you have continued to use us since moving to Beeswing, not to mention the new customers we’re seeing daily. It really is appreciated! 🚗🚐🚙

We had a lovely couple broken down whilst on holiday in the area this week with their Ford Ranger 3.2. Vehicle loosing coolant with no external leaks, rough running on start up and excessive white smoke from the exhaust. We carried out some checks and confirmed the EGR Cooler had failed causing coolant to get into intake system. Left un repaired this can cause major engine failure.
We pulled out all the stops and got the EGR valve and cooler replaced and vehicle back on the road this morning to allow them to get home with their caravan.
Whilst their vehicle was with us we kept them mobile in one of our courtesy vehicles to allow them to enjoy their holiday!!

As most of you already know we have relocated earlier this year to our new site at Beeswing. We’ve been working very hard to get the site organised and we’ve came on leaps and bounds.
Our site in Castle Douglas was historically called Crown Garage hence why we called the business that.
However with relocating we’ve decided to change the business name, our new site is called Robinson Car & Commercials.
We are now blessed with a fantastic workshop with the facility capable to repair and maintain all types of Cars and light commercial vehicles, Camper vans/ Motorhomes and the like.
We will be more active on social media moving forward to keep everyone up to speed with what’s going on and look forward to seeing you all in Beeswing!!

We’ve not been very active on social media since our relocation to Beeswing. We’ve been exceptionally busy getting the workshop sorted out whilst still managing to keep up with all the work on a day to day basis.
It’s been pretty difficult and we’ve still got a lot to do but there is light at the end of that tunnel!
Here’s some pictures of the workshop as I left it this evening, Range Rover Evoque for an engine replacement, Jaguar XF with a door locking issue, VW Tiguan bonnet latch failure and list and an old Defender for a clutch!! All in a days work… As you can see we’re as busy as ever and still very grateful to everyone who’s continued to use us from Castle Douglas and beyond!
Our Castle Douglas phone number is still getting redirected to our new site, our new number is now live and we’ll be sharing it and starting to advertise in the next week or so.

We are exceptionally proud to announce that we attended the Servicesure awards ceremony yesterday and won Garage of the year for Scotland!!

To say I was speechless was an understatement, to be recognised and shortlisted so we could even attend the event is a massive honour, To actually win it and come home with the award genuinely blew me away…

I have to say this wouldn’t be possible without amazing effort all year round from all of the staff between both our sites, it’s the guys in the workshop and those you deal with day in day out that really earned this award.

Also all you customers old and new, your loyalty is appreciated, without you we wouldn’t have a business.
We hope to build from this recognition to deliver the best possible service to you all.

As most of you already know we have recently relocated to our new site at Beeswing, we have been really pleased to see how many of you have continued to support us at our new site. We are aiming to provide an even better level of service with our new workshop being able to offer much more than we could whilst in Castle Douglas, we will be updating the page shortly so keep your eyes peeled!

Lastly I want to say a huge thank you to Duncan Davidson and Jason Hill from Dingbro for their hospitality and to everyone we shared the day with to make it so special.

We would like to say a very merry Christmas to all our customers. We are obviously going through a very busy transition at present and the words of support from everyone has been overwhelming. We wish each and everyone of you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year when it comes.
We are now closed til Monday 29th, we will finish for new year next Wednesday 31st and reopen in the New Year on Monday 5th January for what will be our final week in Castle Douglas.
We will open our doors at our new site in Beeswing on Tuesday 13th January and look forward to our new chapter!!
