Swift Cooper is a British race car constructor and race team In 1985 the team also produced their first Cooper Formula Ford.

Alan and his Brother, Martin setup Cooper Racing in Calne in 1984 after running their own cars in Cornwall. The team won their first championship at Castle Combe that year, and their first national championship with Antonio Armelin in 1985. The team built on their success over the following years, and moved to their current address at Castle Combe in the early 90's. Cooper stopped manufacturing cars in 1992 to concentrate on running customer cars and Alan setup Castle Combe Racing School. Swift (Europe) was formed in 1986, when Frank Bradley bought the rights to the Swift name from Swift Engineering, and set up the company at Snetterton in Norfolk. The company changed hands to Brian Holmes in Chesterfield, to Gavin Wills/James Linton in Plymouth 1995 and to current owner Alan Cooper in Castle Combe 1998, combining Swift and Cooper Racing the company was renamed Swift Cooper. Cars were designed and built from 1986 to 2000. Since 2000 only a handful of cars have been made, most recently 2010, the car used by Rob Hall to win the 2011 Castle Combe FF1600 championship and 4th in the 2011 Walter Hayes trophy. Swift has built cars for Formula Ford Kent 1600, Formula Ford Zetec 1800, Formula Ford Duratec 1600, Formula Ford 2000 and Formula Renault.

A perfect end to an incredible season at Castle Combe.

Taking a 1-2 in qualifying, a 1-2 in both races, and ultimately a 1-2 finish in the championship!

Something we are incredibly proud of as a team.

A huge credit must go to Sam, whose development this year has been exceptional. To finish runner-up in the championship in just his second season in cars, while consistently battling for podiums, is an outstanding achievement and a sign of an exciting future ahead.

It was also great to share the weekend with so many drivers from the Swift Cooper Karting team. They are the future, and have been impressing in karting and can't wait to see how their careers progress!

A special thank you to Matt, Alan and Gary for all their hard work throughout the year. None of this would have been possible without their dedication, expertise, and countless hours spent preparing and maintaining the cars.

What a way to finish the Championship!

I was just a few laps away from making Formula Ford history at Castle Combe.

The day started perfectly, pole position for both races. Race one couldn't have gone any better. A lights-to-flag victory, fastest lap, and my 34th Formula Ford win at Castle Combe. A result that tied me with the all-time record for Formula Ford wins at the circuit.

After a brilliant battle in the opening laps of race 2, I managed to break clear, set fastest lap and started building a comfortable lead. With only a handful of laps remaining, the fuel pump failed. The engine died, and there was nothing I could do but coast to a halt.

It was a heartbreaking way to end what was so close to a perfect weekend. Despite the disappointment, there are plenty of positives to take away. The pace was there all day, and despite the retirement, I'm still leading the championship. The record for the most Formula Ford wins will just have to wait a little longer.

A huge thank you to Alfie Gendall for the incredible photo, and to everyone at Swift Cooper for giving me such a fantastic car. We go again on Monday 31st August.

What a weekend for Swift Cooper at the SRK Championship at Mr Karting.

A phenomenal team performance saw us secure a memorable 1-2-3 finish in the Junior class.

Congratulations to Mason Turner on taking the win, Vasco Lourenço for an outstanding second-place finish and the fastest lap, and Kieran Haines for completing the podium in third.

A special mention also goes to Harrison Maxwell for a superb defensive drive to secure fifth place, meaning four Swift Cooper drivers finished inside the top five.

In othe overall Champipnship, Mason Turner leads the way, Kieran Haines sits second, Vasco Lourenço is fourth, Harrison Maxwell is sixth and Jacob Lander is seventh

That means five Swift Cooper drivers now occupy the top seven in the championship.

To cap off an incredible weekend, Swift Cooper has extended its advantage in the Teams' Championship to a mighty impressive 310-point lead.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this achievement possible! We look forward to carrying this momentum into the next round!

Brilliant weekend at Silverstone, which saw 3 incredible races. Luke Cooper qualified on pole position, finished 2nd in the first race and took two wins in the next two races. The final race was an epic battle with nothing between 1st and 2nd for the entire race with Luke taking the win by just 0.058 seconds!

Alan Slater was also out racing in his Nike, the oldest car in the field. He had three great races battling against much newer cars

A Fantastic Day at Mr Karting!

Last Thursday, some of our drivers headed to Mr Karting, taking part in a coaching session before a number of them competed in the Mr Karting Junior Championship.

The coaching was outstanding, providing valuable guidance and helping our drivers continue to develop their skills ahead of the SRK event later this year. A huge thank you to the Mr Karting team for their expert tuition and for running such a well-organised championship event.

The championship format saw every driver compete in three heats, with the combined results determining the final standings. Racing against the talented Mr Karting regulars was a fantastic challenge, with their track knowledge and pace pushing our drivers all the way.

Our drivers all performed incredibly well with 3 of them standing on the podium!

Kieran Haines – 2nd Overall
Rubin Bamrah – 3rd Overall
Logan Trotman – 3rd in the Rookie Class

Every one of our drivers represented the team brilliantly, showing great speed and racecraft and we’re looking forward to returning for SRK and building on what was a very successful outing for the team.

Thank you to everyone at Mr Karting for making it such an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

We were at Brands Hatch for the Super Classic Formula Ford Championship with a brilliant entry of over 30 cars.

It was a fantastic weekend for the Swift Cooper team both on and off the track this weekend.

Luke Cooper delivered an outstanding drive to take the Race 2 win, after an electronics failure in qualifying forced the team to miss Race 1. A huge team effort went into getting the car running again, and Luke rewarded it in style with a brilliant victory.

Paul Mason was very consistent and put in two strong performances with a pair of 6th‑place finishes.

Alan Slater, in the oldest car on the grid, fought hard all weekend and came home with P11 and P9.

We were also joined by our Junior Drivers, Kieran, Ollie and Mason who were invited along to watch the racing and for the VRRC sim Racing Championship presentations.

Kieran picked up 3rd place and a Driver of the Round award and Ollie also picked up a Driver of the Round award.

Thank you to Kieran Haines for the brilliant photos.

It was a great showing of teamwork and effort from everyone involved.

An incredible way to start the year!

Luke had two brilliant races, with epic battles in both and came away with 2 wins and 2 fastest laps for a maximum points haul.

Sam Skellett was racing in the Class A car for the first time and he had 2 fantastic races. He had a monumental race in the first race, changing places many times and came away with a 2nd place to make it a 1-2 for the team. He added to this with another brilliant battle in the second race and put in another stunning drive to take another podium with a 3rd place.

What a way to start the year!
