Hello all

I was pointed out on a page it seems people think I am winding down business on the smarts

This is so very untrue but what has happened is I stopped working 7 days a week and past the hours I should have

its why emails dont get looked at outside these hours as I have a tendency to focus into work thats not even here, couple that with so many garages and people out the blue looking for free advice

you can all rest assured unless I am no longer physically able to work or indeed the smarts no longer exist I shall be here

my actual hobby takes up all my freetime over on YouTube and it gives me more time with my wife and daughter who I do this all for

as always I would like to thank everyone of you for your custom and travelling so far and your patience but even now with what I have booked in and sitting here I am into mid July/start of Aug

this is also as lets be realistic the cars are very old now and a simple service can highlight lots things found and need done, i then need to find the time to help you all and try and upset no one but i am and always have been one pair of hands

REMEMBER turning up is not ok, I am busy and this is my home as well as my place of work, Appointments only

ok so, on this month in 2007 I decided with some help from friends who believe in me to start my own business

at only 26 it was terrifying, I had no idea what to do and how much work was involved but all I know is I wanted to help people and do a job I love as unfort I am no good at working with people. I like things as perfect as I can

getting older certainly makes it harder as does the fact they dont make the wee smarts and although I already have plan b started as a hobby this plan a shall continue until there are no more customers or smarts on the road as the goal when I moved home and business was to keep going until the end

again I am always ever so greatful the life customers have allowed me to have, for the support they gave myself and the girls and the fact even after all these years some of them still have smarts and make the journeys

19 years....19

as I try and let that sink in mainly my thought is 'shut up you have work to do, people to help and indeed still feel like I have a purpose throughout all my challenges'

thank you all so much for your patience, trust and indeed the time you spend with me

Hey everyone just a wee small update on the garage, I know I dont post a lot but its to save peoples time --

1. I am booked until mid April just now and some waiting to be confirmed
2. its only myself that ever works at the garage
3. as per instructions never turn up unnanounced it puts me off what I am doing and this is my home as well
4.please dont email out of hours as unfort I cant ignore them easily and I have tried to take my time off and rest as I get older
5. I dont sell cars, I DO NOT sell parts, I have lots of parts but as the Smarts are gettinbg very old parts are hard to get, I keep these for my customers to ensure I look after them as they have done for me all these years

again, as always myself and my family thank you all so much for all the support. I will have been running smart car business' 19 years next month

I am blown away with what was achieved in all this time that came from my obesssion with lil roadsters and wanting to help as many people as I can sure at times its been tough health wise but it always perks me up helping people and keeping the smarts running

This is the spare time project with the girls if you get bored and watch YouTube and what a year !!! Today's anniversary and now at 119+k subs

It's been a long challenging year for the channel and let's see what this one brings as we close off the 1st year of starting.wasnt sure about doing this and most days still wasn't sure.

What I am sure about it my sincere thanks,to all of you for watching,liking,subscribing and helping us push on thank you all x

The garage is getting more manageable although I still have about 4 weeks of work at least out there !!!!

I am so sorry I am dreafully late with the xmas thanks message to each and everyone of my customers

I havent been updating with pictures in a while, nor updates in general its just I am so very busy during working and as I tried to stick to the working hours this year since the youtube channel started off i just dont have enough hours in the day

45 today so getting old and may start slowing down but until then I hope everyone has a very merry xmas and happy new year.

thank you again to all the support going all way back to 2007 when I started and look what I have achieved with all your help, so from the girls and I thank you so much for the support

as I have started to take my days off a few months ago to concentrate on not burning out, with all the work that is here and booked in the diary the garage cannot at all take on any more work until after the new year

its a difficult decision i dont like saying no as it always felt I let people down but the garage got so much busier and the cars got older and more often than not small jobs turn into larger ones when things are pointed out that other garages missed during the years

thank you again and as always for everyones support over the years the girls and I always appreciate it

++closed for the week+++

just a few wee updates. I need space from people calling for advice yet again and not booking in as its very irritating that garages do so, a lot of you travel so far to come to me and they take up my time. I may start a name and shame on the page

I have so much in, I am up to end of Oct/Nov and getting a tad burnt out and as this the drop offs arranged are fine but everything will need to be pushed while i catch up on a mountain of paperwork and housekeeping that is to the point i need to address

Yello all.

as I have been taking my days off (which i should have been doing a long time ago) for the hobby the garage booking dates are now from Sept onward as there is so many out there that people are patiently waiting for me on

I do appreciate this, I have always appreciated every one of you that choose to come to me and everything you have done for myself and my family over the 18 years + that I have been doing this business

it seems as this has been like this the last few years I would suggest everyone if and when they can book at leats a few months in advance to avoid dissapointment, i will do my best when i can but i have realised as getting older I need the downtime to make sure I give the same standard to you all for so long.

No updates for a while simply as I am working through the mass of work

After all these years I am still astounded to how much work I have and how many miles people travel to get to me I will always be eternally grateful and thank everyone for there patience waiting in the que

Sidenote though although I have been putting in extra hours to wind down I have been fixing ebikes the last year and my wife,daughter and I started our own YouTube channel -- https://youtube.com/?si=qWR64RslH9XARqAO your support and to share on would be equally appreciated

I also have some bikes for sale as my obsession got a tad out of hand but it gave me clarity when I needed time from the main mass of work intake
