Big respect to Lauren, one of our team here at Porsche Centre South Lakes, who's been steadily helping us work through the Wainwrights Challenge, all 214 Lake District fells in a single year, in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

It's a serious test of endurance, and honestly, it's the kind of thing that reminds us what we're proudest of here isn't just the cars on the showroom floor, it's the people, and the causes they choose to back.

A hundred years of the Nürburgring deserves a proper tribute, and Porsche has just built one.

This special-edition 911 GT3 is dressed for the "Green Hell" from top to bottom: historic circuit badging on the wings, a green roll cage inside, door sills that light up with "Welcome to the Green Hell," and even a projector that throws the Nordschleife's outline onto the floor when you open the door. There's a walnut gear k**b for the manual cars, gold-finished wheels, and, for anyone tempted to actually use it, an optional Manthey aero kit good for 540kg of downforce.

Only 100 are being built, for the German market, so this one's a look-but-don't-order situation for us here in the Lake District. Still, it's the kind of car that reminds you why the Nürburgring and Porsche have been linked since 1953, and why that connection still shows up in every 911 that leaves our showroom today.

Joe tests the new Porsche Cayenne S Electric, highlighting its 544 PS power, air suspension, and the unique sport sound options.

The SUV's practical features, like the sliding rear bench and vertical boot space, make it ideal for those needing extra luggage space. The WLTP range is around 400 miles, with a quick charging capability from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes.

The interior on our demo boasts a chalk beige and black design with a large curved display.

Our demo Cayenne S Electric is out on the plinth just outside the showroom, and it's worth the detour off the M6 to see it in person.

Finished in Chromite Black Metallic with a Black and Chalk Beige interior, this is Porsche's mid-level all-electric Cayenne: up to 544PS as standard, rising to 666PS with Launch Control, and a WLTP range of up to 406 miles. It's proof that going electric doesn't mean giving up the Cayenne character.

Georgia's letting the cat out of the bag on this one. 🎁

Ever wondered what a Manthey Performance Kit actually does to a 911 GT3 RS?

Our Porsche Pro & Manthey Specialist Joe took us round a customer's car mid-fit to explain it properly, what the kit changes, why it's fitted, and what it means for the car. We're a Manthey Certified Porsche Performance Centre, so the training, the certification required for every model Manthey currently supports.

Pascal Wehrlein is a two-time Formula E World Champion, and he did it the hard way.

He crossed the line 14th in Sunday's London E-Prix finale, no points to show for it, and it didn't matter. The championship was already won on the season's work: three race victories, six podiums, four pole positions, and just enough of a cushion to hold off Andretti's Jake Dennis by five points. He joins Jean-Éric Vergne as the only driver to win the Formula E title twice.

It's a fitting way to close the book on the GEN3 era, too. The Porsche 99X Electric ends it as the most successful car in Formula E history, six world titles and 23 wins across factory and customer teams.

This is the bit where we're supposed to tell you about power figures and range, and we will, gladly, in person, but honestly the first thing everyone's said about this Cayenne Electric today has been about the colour.

Madeira Gold Metallic is one of those paints that photographs well and then looks even better stood in front of. It's in the showroom now, and it's fully electric, so if you've been curious about what Porsche's EV range actually feels like to sit in (rather than just look at), this is a good excuse to come and find out.
