👉 What is SERMI?
SERMI (Security-Related Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information) is a new certification system designed to protect vehicles from theft and unauthorised access. It ensures that only approved garages can carry out certain security-related repairs.

👉 What does it affect?
SERMI applies to work involving your vehicle’s security systems, such as:
• Key programming and replacement 🔑
• Immobilisers and alarm systems 🚨
• ECU (engine control unit) access 💻
• Some advanced diagnostics and software updates

👉 What does this mean for you?
To carry out certain repairs under SERMI regulations, we may need to:
✔️ Verify your identity (photo ID required)
✔️ Confirm proof of vehicle ownership (V5C/logbook or similar)
✔️ Record details securely as part of the process
