Well this brought a smile to my face. How many times have we seen Toolhire companies assume that by expanding into builders merchants/ DIY stores they have ready made business. HSS have tried it and FAILED, even Jewson couldn’t make the maths work. Mike and I even tried it up in UGS, Crosshands back in the day.

I have taken some screengrabs of the SpeedyHire/ B&Q coalition that came up on my feed today. Their special discounted deals are in most cases still 100% more than our charge for comparable kit. Carmarthen is so lucky to have a wealth of independent trade companies including builders merchants, hireshops, electrical wholesalers etc, all offering fair deals and a personal service.
