This Peugeot 508 1.6 HDI engine recieved a timing belt kit and water pump. 👨‍🔧⚙️✅️

So easily overlooked getting your timing belts done within their service intervals they are arguably the most important part of an engine connecting the crank to the cams and high pressure fuel pump.
When a timing belt snaps on an interference engine (most common modern engine) the complete engine is scrap or requires a full rebuild 😳💰💰

If your engine is around 100k miles or ten years old that is the most common interval for them to be changed. So its genuinley worth getting it changed. 💥💥
Also the water pump that circulates water can leak and detach which is a major overheating issue waiting to happen. 🌀🌀♨️🌡

👨‍🔧 The biggest job ive ever known to fit a starter motor!
This 2011 Suzuki Alto has just recieved a new starter due to the old one packing in and the manufacturer didnt quite think it through.

The whole subframe needed removed which includes disconnecting the exhaust and all the suspension components, gearbox mount and steering rack!! 🤯💥
Much to both mine and the customers displeasure its fair to say its a big job to change the starter motor on one of these.

All is well that ends well! The starter motor is replaced and the car back on the road after weeks of sitting. I was informed of the job just 1 day before completing it. 😊✅️🚙

👨‍🔧 This 2017 Ford Kuga recieved an alternator recently as the pulley had detached meaning the cars battery wasnt being charged. ⚙️🚫
Someone had attempted taking it to bits and very quickly realised its not as quick and easy as they thought, so they left it in bits very kindly 🙄

Nevertheless the car is now back on the road and also has a new auxillary belt on so it will be reliable and able to be the farm workhorse once again ✅️🥳🚜

Anyone in need of a clutch?
This 2013 1.2 corsa had an issue with a sticking clutch, alongside head gaskets and timing chains this is a common fault.
This happens because there is a coiled pipe attaching the slave cylinder to the cars hydraulic system which can cause problems.

The new and upgraded versions are a solid pipe that will hopefully prevail to produce longevity and no more sticky clutches 🚫

This 2013 Vauxhall Corsa has recieved a new timing chain kit and water pump and all neccesary gaskets.
Done in a day and customer happy with how its turned out. Common chain rattle has now been fixed which if left to get to bad it can be catastrophic 💥💥
This is something that normally happens with 1.2 and 1.4 petrol corsas and something im happy to take on ⚙️

This will now be used as a first car for a young lad and will be reliable. Message today for any servicing or repairs 🚙📲✅️👨‍🔧

This is not a very long job to do at all but i do always say the most important part is being able to stop.

Massive job to be fair that couldve been such a nightmare but in all fairness a can of wd40 pre empted any sort of issue that coulve been. 😅✅️👨‍🔧

Over the moon to have got to done this car as it was a bit of a travel as a special request. The old shock absorbers as pictured were all leaking and had massive amounts of play in the shafts thanks to the heavy nature of the car and english potholes 💥💥
A big pleasure and a fairytale ending. I now have to fit a new dpf to this car as its blocked!

This 2.0 hdi in a Citroen DS4 recieved a full service. As the dipstick is plastic there was 10 litres of oil in it when it was drained of oil rather than 5 litres which it was meant to have. The dipstick had warped under the heat and was reading completley wrong. 😬💥
An attempt to straighten it did fail however the knowledge that it certainly did not need 10 litres came in handy 🤣👨‍🔧

Peugeot/ citroen in their wisdom had buried the filter under a plastic housing which is always a pleasure but again experience of doing them before prevailed. (Last time i seen one must have been 5 years ago)

Disaster of too much oil blowing turbo ect appears to have been avoided and long may it continue 🤞

This Toyota Land Cruiser has had a full set of pads and a full service to freshen it up.
Whilst doing this job it was discovered that the diff oil seal has started leaking diff fluid everywhere.
I will be returning to the customer to fix this! 👨‍🔧⚙️✅️
Job went smoothly due to the great maintance of the man who owns this always putting good new parts on! 🤝

Today was the replacement of some bottom arms on a Mitusbishi outlander. This job was done whilst this fella was at work 👨‍🔧⚙️

Came apart and went back together reasonably and had a quite interesting conversation about power transformers and there technology. ⚙️👀
Fixing the suspension knocks and bangs your car makes is very important as this man is fully aware of, it will cause less wear to tyres and potentially other suspension components and make you car drive nicer and more tight.
