We had a VW T6 transporter in today for a rear wheel bearing replacement and replaced it in situ with our new bearing tool. Customer back on the road and happy.

We had a transit custom in this week for a wet belt and water pump so we set about fitting all genuine parts and the customer was more than pleased with the job.

We had a couple of older vehicles in this week that had previously been to other professional technicians for repairs and neither were right after the work so we had to step
In and rectify the issues.

Firstly was a 2000 t4 2.5tdi that had just had the head gasket replaced and now wouldn’t run so was booked into us for the fuel pump timing to be reset. Well what we found was a catalogue of missing bolts, loose bolts, stripped threads and incorrectly set timing because the tensioners were loose too. We set about replacing the missing bolts, repairing the threads and resetting all the timing and then the van was running perfectly again.

Secondly we had a 2003 transit 2.4 tdi that had just had the timing solenoid replaced but now wouldn’t run. We removed the fuel pump to find no rear support bracket, no pipe clamps, shorted wiring and a missing gasket between the pump and engine block.we replace all the parts and now the van is running perfectly again.

We had a look at a transit today that the customer had been advised by another technician that the injectors may have been faulty so we scanned for codes but there wasn’t any so we also looked at injected quantity values and two were high. A quick check of the injectors whilst inside the engine showed that they had indeed drifted out of specified reaiatance values but we didn’t believe they were casing a problem so the next test was to carry out a relative compression test using our pico scope and that revealed a faulty engine.
