Known as the friendly track, Lydden Hill Race Circuit was founded in 1955 by the late Bill Chesson and the Astra club. Lydden Hill Race Circuit is the UK's shortest road racing circuit (many shorter oval tracks exist) at exactly one mile (1609 m). The venue is superbly situated in an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and set with its own amphisphere, located in the beautiful village of Wootton ab

out half-way between Canterbury and Dover in Kent. It is mainly used for FIA, MSA and ACU events as well as trackdays, including rallycross, saloon and sports car racing and motorcycle racing. It may be only a mile long, but Lydden is a testing circuit, with many undulation changes.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday evening for the last Cars, Bikes and Coffee of the season! 🥲

Our busiest evening yet, we loved seeing every car and bike that came through the gate! 🙌

Sue and Paul, two of our Marshals who've helped at every CBC this year chose the winner of August's Best in Show 🏆

Our final winner was a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 1 - with a 6.7L V8 engine, and registered on 1st January 1977, it was one of the last of these models to be made! ⭐️

From classics and supercars, to bikes, modified builds and everything in between, we've loved seeing the variety in the paddock! Thank you everyone who has joined us for an evening this summer ☀️

The Hot Dog Eating Competition is returning for another year and this time we’ve got a score for you to beat 👀

Last year’s winner managed 10 hot dogs in 5 minutes. Think you’ve got the appetite to take on the challenge and become this years Thunder 650 Hotdog Champ? 🏆

Come along to Thunder 650 on Sunday 23rd August for a full day of oval racing and entertainment, then head to the Food Bay at 12pm and have a go 🙌
