We are an established independent Garage specialising in the maintenance and repair of VAG vehicles and currently have vacancies for qualified vehicle technicians to join our team.

Preferred applicants would benefit from having a VAG based background along with the ability to work closely with others.

Problem solving skills being advantageous along with diagnostic and electrical competency which the modern automotive workshop demands.

Applicants will need to be experienced and qualified within the motor trade.

NVQ level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent

A full valid driving licence as a minimum

It is vital that you have the attention to detail to keep standards sky high, and the team spirit that will see you working closely with everyone within the workplace

We offer good rates of pay in return for hard work and commitment , teamwork skills are essential.

Vagcar are once again extremely proud to support this fantastic charity . We act as a drop off centre where you can donate any toys, gifts, donations or ticket purchases. For only £5 you can also get the chance to win a fantastic Volkswagen Beetle which we also helped sort out mechanically. Every penny raised goes directly to the charity which then sorts and organises all donations to make less fortunate children’s Christmas so much more special by receiving one of the wonderful gifts donated. Last day for drop offs and ticket sales will be the 17th December and live draw for the car will be at 7pm. Thankyou so much for your support ❤️🌲🎅

Exciting news for next years Pre79 Aircooled Show !
it just got bigger and better.

Pre79 Aircooled the VW & Porsche show, now in our third year, we have a new venue and camping!

Starting Saturday at 6pm on 12th July 2025, gates open for an evening of entertainment with food vendors, licensed bar and live music including Leon on acoustic guitar, Ash a Meatloaf tribute act, before seeing out the evening with Matt DJing.

The main show follows on Sunday 13th July starting at 10am until 4pm with all the following;

An exclusive aircooled vehicle car park, making a huge show and shine, with trophies from our show sponsors awarded on the day.
Lots of popular aircooled parts and merchandise suppliers.
The sought-after aircooled only autojumble.

New this year we're hosting technical workshops from Aircooled school - a programme of 15 to 20 minute workshops focusing on basic maintenance topics.

As well as interviews / Q&A sessions with well known names and experts in the VW scene as well as the people behind show winning and interesting cars.

This year there are special displays for OG Paint, Air ride, Back to '89, Cal Look, Early Bay and Type 3 line ups, plus more to follow.

Throughout the day there is live music including Tom Dibb and entertainment for the kids.

We have organised several food vendors on top of the popular on site cafe.
