From a Standalone to Sabre Stage 3 😮‍💨🏎💨💥

This car came all the way from Glasgow to be worked on, which should say everything you need to know about what we do here at Apex Developments.

First up, one of our Apex R Spec AN Vac pipe kits that we developed on our own racecar 6+ years ago to work with our sidewinder kit. Later becoming popular due to its clean and more manageable routing.

Next up, After nothing but running/ driveability issues with the EMU standalone ECU, we removed the ecu and associated adapters, fitted a standard Bosch ME9 ecu with a new AIRTEC Motorsport RS ECU Holder and went about flashing + tuning the mighty Sabre Tuning stage 3 rs software.

The outcome, a car that sounds, drives and works like a factory car. With far better driveability and of course, the sabre sauce giving it some new found power 🤘

The customer left with a huge smile on their face and absolute gratitude for transforming the car after the issues that have put them off driving the car. Itll be a memorable journey back upto bonny Scotland thats for sure. 🏎💨💥💥

Another leaky mess in for some Apex Loving.

Car came to us with a nasty oil leak from the Exhaust VVT cam seal. Upon teardown excessive wear on the Exhaust VVT Pulley was found to be the culprit with the intake VVT Pulley also showing the same signs of wear.

This is becoming extremley common and most people think replacing the cam seals will fix the issue which unfortunately, it wont in the long run.

We sourced/supplied original OEM supplier VVTs, along with a Genuine Ford Cambelt + Waterpump kit, cam seals and cam end bungs.

Now back to being leak free, ready to be enjoyed by the new owner.

Matty bang bang Sidewinder AWD Build in with us for an intresting oil leak.

We found damage to the oil pump housing recess in the lower girdle which was causing oil to bypass the gasket and fire out the front main seal... not ideal to say the least. 🙃🫠😬not our first rodeo though, nothing a blob of chemical metal and a polish cant sort. You can see the highlighted areas after the fix with the chemical metal being a different colour.

Brand new Ford oil pump with our inhouse high pressure mod, new housing bolts and shes good to send..... well... nearly... change of management first but more on that soon 👀

Leaky Paul's minter in for something youd never expect from a low mileage example!

Paul has been chasing an oil leak (hence his new nickname 💦) on his pride + joy so he dropped it over to get it sorted.

You wouldnt expect a Rear Main seal to fail at 18k miles! But one replacement Rear Main and a new Ford Clutch kit + Flywheel at Paul's request and hey presto, no more oil leak!
