Nick’s Motors is now a Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue Drop Off Point!

We’re really pleased to be supporting the fantastic work Prickles & Paws do caring for local hedgehogs — and now our customers and local community can help too.

We’ll have a donation point here at the garage where you’re welcome to drop off:

Clean, used newspapers
Tins of meaty cat or dog food (no fish flavours please)
Strong black bin liners
Blue roll

You don’t need to be visiting us with your car — if you’re passing and would like to donate something, just pop in.

Even a few tins or some old newspapers will help.

Thank you to everyone who gets involved and helps support this brilliant local rescue.

When was your car last serviced?

Regular servicing helps keep your car running reliably and can pick up problems before they turn into expensive repairs.

This one was in with us for a routine service — and judging by the cabin filter, it was definitely ready for some attention! 😬

If your service is due, or you’re not sure when it was last done, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

A lovely Ford Capri in the workshop this week. ❤️

Although this Capri is MOT exempt, its owner still books it in every year for a safety inspection.

We think that’s a great approach. Classic cars often cover fewer miles, but regular inspections can help identify wear and tear before it affects reliability or safety.

We’re proud to support the Duchy Ford Club and carry out inspections and MOTs for many of its members. It’s always a pleasure to see these cars come through the workshop.

Do you own a classic? We’d love to see it.

Fresh exhaust fitted today at Nick’s Motors

A worn exhaust doesn’t just make your car noisy – it can affect emissions, performance and even lead to an MOT failure.

Today we replaced a damaged exhaust system on this Nissan Note, getting it back to running quietly and safely.

If you’ve noticed your vehicle becoming louder than usual or suspect an exhaust issue, we’re always happy to inspect it and advise on the best course of action.
